Vandy is still Vandy.
Very true. Last night, in the Dandies, I saw "quit". The 'Cocks didn't beat the Commodes, the Commodes beat themselves with that "quit".
There is a lesson to be learned from that game last night, Coach Richt. The Dandies had the 'Cocks down by the end of the 3rd quarter. Then they did what we did in the SEC Championship. They got conservative. The blitzes they ran early in the game were unpredictable and aggressive. Then they seemed to disappear, and they sat back and waited for someone to make a play. Spurrious also figured out that if you just stay patient and run it right at 'em, they break. The 'Cocks had very little left in the gas tank late, but just a drop more than the Commodes did. There's a lot to be said for playing 60 minutes.
That no call at the end on 4th down didn't hurt the 'Cocks either. Still, I think we can WHIP both of those teams. One of the announcers said it, and he was right . . . the 'Cocks didn't look like a top 10 team. We whipped them last year, just before we whipped ourselves.
Stay focused and AGGRESSIVE for 60 FULL MINUTES. We win.
