Good post Buc. You guys know only bad news travels fast! How often do you hear positive stories about good student athletes?

It's tough being a head football coach at a top tier program these days.
Gone are the Butts, Bryant, Dodd days of boot camp training.
Too often it's the inmates running the prison.
I guess the more successful the program the easier it is to keep these kids in line.
It's a hell of a lot easier to control a kid if he knows there's someone sitting on the bench who can't wait to replace him.

Have said this around a hundred times . . . averagedawg can get it said in short order, never figured out how to do that. BUMP on your post averagedawg. Lots of talent wanting a shot at lugging that pigskin.

With our situation the way it is on Defense, concerning DB's for the most part, makes me feel real good that our Defensive Coordinator is Todd Grantham. Have watched a couple of clips when he was asked what he would do when one of his players goes down or whatever. Coach Grantham says plain and simply . . . next man up. That shows me just how much confidence Todd Grantham has in his defensive schemes. Do know that he likes to prepare his forces for more than one position. That is what I call coaching them up.

Hey Buc, that's what concerns me about the DB situation......when CTG said "next man up", we don't have many "next men"

But also agree with you, CTG is good enough to figure it out....just hope he can find the man power in that area.

Who thinks M.Mitchell will be better at DB than WR he got his stars playing DB I think he can do both.
