Yeah, BUT........we're getting very thin, especially at DB. Marshall and Sanders would have played a lot this year. I think we’ll be at 76 scholarship players. That’s 9 below the limit. I’m not even sure that USC (on probation) is that low.

I know........... just hope all of the coaches are looking at what is left unsigned at both the high school and JC and trying to find additional help.

That would be great but most are all gone and they won't waste a scholarship for numbers.

wlayton, do you not think that a player or players could have been overlooked?

It would not be wasting scholarships... we have 7-9 spots open and will lose a lot next year. Even if we have 30-35 scholarships available next spring we can't sign but 25.

Chances are there are some solid players out there that have yet to sign, especially in the JC ranks. Then the scholarships are only tied up at most 2 years. Or even be honest with them and tell them hey I am giving you one year in the big leagues and you have to earn the second. The rule has not yet changed, scholarships are still year to year.

I may be wrong but I can't help but I think we are still just an injury/suspension away from trouble on the Oline and a couple away with DBs.
