Ratings and Rankings . . .

Well Buc you really did it this time! And thanks for doing so. And I agree with growl - not an easy question to swallow. Many moving parts and pieces.

This is a forum of free flowing thought and information. I do not doubt that a single poster here does not love our university. Really great conversation and analysis. I have always loved debate, and like you Buc, have opinions I regularly express. I have always listened to others and respected their opinions as I hope they would listen to and respect mine. They key is to truly listen and if you can present an argument that will sway my opinion.......more power to you and thank you for the enlightenment.

If you will remember when I first came aboard, I posted a letter by a friend showing unmitigated support for CMR. I will not compromise my trust in our coaches character. I think that is what gets the recruits here in the first place. He is a shining example of how to run a program which does not teeter on probation. What I have began to question is his ability to grasp the brass ring and take the next step. Upon his arrival we won two SEC championships within 5 years. We have not been able to move past that.

To answer the question Buc, I think it is coaching. Does ours have that killer instinct to win it all? If not, he needs to surround himself with others that do. Like CJT ll, and CTG. I have seen the fire burn in CMR before. It just does not seem to do so when needed, for long, or on a continual basis. Can we have a mixture of St. Mark and Cortez?

In closing, I am not advocating the removal or sustaining of CMR. I am expecting to see improvement along with excitement next year. How we get there is up to Mac, CMR, and staff.

Go Dawgs!

3 points for me...

1. OL....agree with averagedawg...Saban doesn't even come close to having the "skilled" players on offense that UGA has BUT he is 2 and 3 deep with OL and DL. He isn't fancy and is predictable BUT he kicks your ever living butt with the big guys up front. He knows that winning is all about the OL and DL DOMINANCE.

2. Bobo Gotta Go Go......'nuff said
3. CMR.....still think he can get it done as the CEO but needs to step up and rectify the OC situation. He's done that in the other areas...CTG, Friend, etc,......if he can "complete" his staff along with his ability to recruit, I believe he can win a NC......BUT.....imo, the 1st step is a creative minded OC that can adjust "on the spot". Still jealous that UF got Boise St's OC, what do you think he could have done in Athens?????

note.....beyond #3, if we remain the same, then CMR Gotta Go Go (even though I'm CMR supporter)

Think I have grown and matured a tad since then. Have enjoyed the board and will continue to respect it and participate.

Classic example of what winning a couple of NC's can do for your recruiting classes. Some kids will pay the school to play for BAMA and Saban.
