Looks like the noise is getting louder concerning Orson Charles going to the NFL. Really glad that he chose to play in Athens, and really glad that he came as a "team player" and remained that way.
We had some young fellows that really stepped up this season and played well. If not for some of the younger folks, Charles would have had many more catches, I think.
He will make a good decision, and at this point, too hard to turn down the money he will probably get in the second round. Maybe late first, think second.
Had mentioned to another person on this board that I am glad that we have Jay Rome coming back next season as a redshirt freshman. Playing basketball, staying in shape, working with Coach JTII, Rome will be a great asset next season. It is a good deal when we have young fellows that can step up when some of our fine players choose to leave. Look forward to being deeper in the offensive and defensive lines as has been the case at tightend.
As has been said, thanks Orson for a solid effort put forth in Athens.

Maybe we get lucky and he will stay...doubt it. I am personally more excited to see more of Arty Lynch on the field than Rome. JTII has already put several pounds of muscle on Arty. Though he is more a blocking TE than a pass catcher. TE sets w/ Lynch and Rome sound A-OK to me Buc.

DAWG1277, really good point, especially when I think about that big body and maybe a better running attack next season.
Rome being a big body also, and Friend pulls this offensive line together, looking good.
With you on Coach JTII, appears as the season wore on, we were much better than the year before. . . . .of course the personnel had something to do with that. We did seem to be in better physical condition.

Rome has all the tools to be one of the best TE in college football. Watch this young man as he gains experience.
