From Athens- Game Day Friday-Lucky # 13

I'm a pretty competitive person as well.

Even as a fan, I will never see the SECCG as "gravy". It's the main course
we set out for every year. I accept you didn't mean it that way, but the
word choice made it seem that way.

No worries buddy... I'm just really keyed up. I played team sports all my
life, and I still play competitive league team tennis. Ya know there's that
one guy on the team that on game day just sits alone rocking back and forth on
a bench... lost in his own intense world of mental preparation.. I'm
him. If someone walked by and said "just happy to be here".. I would
probably snap. I understand though that you didn't mean it that way... just
wanted to make sure, lol

After the game is over... even if we lose; I'll be more than happy to talk
about how pleased I am with what we did accomplish in just getting this far.

Agree....like I said, you REALLY don't know my competitiveness.....(30 years of NC racquetball).

You are correct though....WRONG choice of words. Guess just after the 1st two games, nobody expected us to be playing tomorrow.....tomorrow??....geez, now I'm getting nervous.

I think I read where you stated we had about a 25% chance of winning in an earlier post. I'll go a little lower & say a 16%-20% chance (i.e., we might beat em' 1 out of 5 or 1 out of 6 times). Now HOPEFULLY, Sat. will be the ONE where we pull off the upset but LSU is the superior team & there's no shame in losing to the #1 team in the SEC, let alone the nation, IMHO. Glad to know I'm not alone in throwing things around the living room

Anyhows, not trying to be a debbie downer, more trying to be realistic but quite frankly, it's been a LONG time since the Bulldog Nation tasted defeat & I'm not at all looking forward to the over-reactions by many of the fans. I'll be quite disappointed if we can't keep the game respectable but either way, I love this group of Dawgs more than any other since 2005 & I want them to know how proud they have made this Dawg fan even if they fall short of the SEC Title on Sat..

That said, I want the TEAM to go out there & play hard, play smart, play like Junkyard Dawgs, & let them Bayou Bengals know that the Georgia Bulldogs came to win!
