Does Mettenberger have any impact on this game?

How smart can you be to get in trouble like he has?

He can still throw a football. I remember him playing quite well in a G-day game for us.

I remember a G-Day game that he stunk in......threw a 5 yard pass 100 mph and about killed the receiver.......also threw 2-3 ten to fifteen yard passes that drilled the ground 3 yards short of the WR.

Looks the part but I say he will NOT make a great QB.....JaMarkus Russell could throw a football too.....uh, Ryan Leaf in the NFL???.......many can throw it and have the physical tools......gotta have brains to go with it, we'll see.

Yeah.. and JaMarkus Russell and Ryan Leaf were great college QB's.

I never said ZM would transition well to the NFL, and he could very well be a massive fail
like Russell or Leaf were there, but we're talking about the college level where those
guys you mentioned were good enough to become #1 and #2 picks.

Russell was what.. 21-4 or something like that in college? A Heisman finalist. Sugar Bowl MVP.

Yeah, I know all that and don't disagree (actually figured that point would come up, just grabbed 1st two names in my mind).

I'll bet big money right now that Mett won't cut it as a leader and bigtime QB.....ever.

(just my feelings about the kid.....as a matter of fact, I'm not sure he will even finish his playing days at LSU)
