Not in terms of playing, but since he knows the play calling and such. Having never played football, I'm not sure how easy/difficult it is to change signal calling.

In my opinion, no impact what so ever. Grantham's running the same defensive system, but at this point the book's probably twice as thick as it was last year due to the fact that the players know the system much better.
On offense, probably even less of an impact, Mettenberger may know some of the signals, but CMR's playing his cards close to the vest in that article. A LOT has changed...specifically the installation of the no-huddle offense we're running a good bit of the time this year.

No impact unless our coaches are complete imbeciles.
You can negate any impact he might have had just by analyzing your own tendencies, and mixing
up your signals.
For the most part, LSU knows what we do anyway. They've got plenty of tape. Signals are something
that should regularly be switched up, and analyzing your own tendencies should be Football 101
at this level of play.
