You guys know me, I am not tring to be negative, I just always try to look at things from every point of view. I was the biggest skeptic before the season and have come to agree this is a different group of young men. I just don't see the need to stir the pot when there are so many people out there that don't think we have a chance in H to win or even make it close.

I guess you could say that I am still in that show me mode, that I was in at the start of the season. I want nothing more than to come on here Sunday and say well they proved me wrong again.

duck I take your post as being cautious. Nothing wrong with that. We have all been through a few years of needing something to swing us back to the bright side. We can win, will we win, won't know that until Saturday. Just go play the game and please don't make it look anything like the Boise State game. This is a good bunch. Build one or two more good recruting years, ALL OF US WILL HAVE OUR SWAGGER BACK. . . . . :)

duck, I understand you completely. I like to think I'm a realist too, that's why I wanted a "wait and see" til the end of the year.

That said.....the teams we played aren't great BUT the are SEC talent......faster, bigger and more talented than most players in other conferences. LSU and BAMA are exceptional and I think we have about a 25% chance of winning the game.......BUT as exceptional as LSU may be, we certainly can beat them if we play our absolute best. I don't totally buy the "we haven't played anybody" analysis because most of these teams we beat probably could have done well in other conferences.......if the media think we are "chopped liver", well then we are very TOUGH chopped liver that may be very hard to chew and very hard to swallow.

ogredawg, there is a young man playing at your high school that I hope we get. I would rank him as high as the young fellow from North Carolina. Although he does not play running back. :)

Yeah I amazed that JH-C is even considering UGA along with a few others in our conference...........most from there are steered toward Tallahassee or that school on the Plains......would be a real nice add to our current LB's, a redshirt year to learn the system then sky is the limit.....but this young man can play anywhere on both sides of the ball......one of the top players in the state

Think that Coach Grantham is involved heavily in trying to get this young man in Athens. ogredawg, believe that Grantham is now beginning to pay dividends on his original words of fielding a championship team. We see the results of his efforts two years in, what does the future hold if he lands some of the talent he is personally recruiting. Also, you were dead on Brother about #6. :)

hope JH-C decides to be a Dawg......he is not even considering FSU or Auburn.....year 3 of CTG D is going to lights out.....and Big #6 will be a major part of it.....took him a few games in the SEC to find his way around but man has he really come on over the last 5 games.....

Earlier in the year there was conversation about who would be the "Big Dawg" in the middle. Jenkins said that he came to play, just needed some time to get "squared away". He did.

Not a slant in the least against Kwame, love the young man, and . . . . he also will only get better. JTII has to be licking his "Bulldawg Chops", and Richt has a huge smile on his face. Glad to see Richt smiling again. Thanks McGarity, you have done yeomans work in a very short time. Much like Grantham and his crew. :)

FSU for a long time has been deeply rooted in South Georgia, this young pup could be the beginning of what Grantham said upon his arrival about keeping these players in state. Sorry folks, know that I bring Grantham's name up a lot, that I can assure you will not change as long as I post on this board. The football team in Athens, both offensive and defensive, love this guy. What is not to like when you look at what he has done with many young folks that had never seen much less played in a 3/4 . . . . . with Grantham variations. All 3/4's are not the same. Right?

Adding a link below that caught my eye. Was thinking about duck when I read this article.

One thing mentioned in the article is how facing Alabama's run defense, they were able to hold
Richardson to 89 yards. That's very true, but Alabama doesn't have our passing ability and
doesn't go 5-6 capable receivers deep. They are 4th in passing offense, but that's predicated
on how strong their run game was. We're second in passing yards to Arkansas, but #1 in TD passes (by a wide margin) and QB rating, and we've done it without a Trent Richardson setting it up with the run.

We're not as one dimensional as Arkansas (air) and 'Bama (run). If you look at rushing and passing attempts, I think we are 3rd in the league at both. Arkansas is dead last in the league at rushing attempts. 'Bama is closer to us in balance, but still not the same and their passing is padded a bit because people load up to stop the run against them. Plus just to note... LSU SHOULD NOT HAVE WON
THAT GAME AGAINST ALABAMA despite how they held Richardson in check.

Plus we have a completely different style of both our passing and running offenses than either
one of those schools. It's apples and oranges folks.. apples and oranges. In math, if A is greater
than B, and B is greater than C, then A is greater than C. It's not like that on a football field.
Team A can beat team B and team B can beat team C, but that doesn't mean that A beating C is a
lock by any means. Same thing is true in statistics as it is in final score.

Alabama couldn't crack the endzone against LSU, but they had some chances. Sometimes them's the
breaks. I think we have enough pure athletic talent to have it break the other way for us on
offense, and as bad as Walsh has been... I don't see him performing as badly as 'Bama's kicker
did.

They rolled Arkansas, but Arkansas did put up 17... and Arkansas fell behind so they became
even more one dimensional late in the game trying to play catch up.

Enter CTG and our D folks.... Keep LSU from rolling up 41 on us... keep them around 17-20 and
we can do it. I don't think they'll beat us with 9 total like they did 'Bama.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
