He has the chance to be very, very special at UGA an get his name in stone. He was not afraid of contact that I could tell, but, I did see some auburn guys looking mighty tentative about hitting him later in the game,he ran thru folks, over folks around folks and plain punished the tackler.
Think we were watching the same film growl. Big difference in the way he carried the ball in the first half compared to the second half. Second half it was like he was looking to run over someone. My best guess is in agreement with ogredawg that CT caught his attention. There are others that are being heavily recruited that want to play football in that same backfield.
No doubt the talent is there, can't be sitting out games for various reasons. If he is not in shape, better get in shape if a certain back (Marshall) chooses to head this way, appears he will.
Lets face it. IC came with a lot of hoop and holler, all of us wanted the same thing from the young man, solid team play. Too quickly IC veered off of the path that we had hoped for. What happens when we get disappointed, we criticize . . . . FACT. Would like to see IC break out of this I, me, my attitude and do what he was recruited to do. Has been said on this board that he is just a freshman and some of us in our earlier days did things, true. However, it does not take two and three, maybe it is just two miscues at this point to get the message.
Game against Kentucky, Sanford Stadium, offensive line that is looking offensive, IC will not have a better chance to show what he has. Personally, pulling for the young man, just want him to rid himself of some of the "young" and start showing some maturity. This is not high school, backs from all over the country want to wear the Red and Black, much larger field to choose from than say one high school in Columbus, Georgia.
