I once heard this about South Carolina football, but I can't remember who said it. I want to say it was Bill Curry. Anyway, it was said that the outcome of the game defined South Carolina's entire season. If they win that game, they usually go on to have a good season. But if they lost, their season would stink. For Georgia, win or lose they will probably (odds are, anyway) have a good year nevertheless. Seems to be true for the most part.

Of course SC fans are delusional and crazy.

You have to be that way in the first place in order to root for them.

On one of their boards, they had a thread going cheering for AU. That is expected. What I did not expect was once we started to crush the tigers they thought they were laying down and letting us win.

Talk about delusional. I suspect that when Spurrier retires in 3 years they will sink back into the mire with the rest of the mediocre SEC teams.

I actually think they've built the team and the recruiting up to a point where they will
find a good coach to replace Spurrier whenever he hangs it up, and are poised to be a
team that should regularly compete for 2nd or 3rd place in the SEC east.

Actually, as much as I hate them... a competitive program out of the chickens is good
business for the SEC.
