Why did you cherry pick that part of the article and not copy this part as well to be fair?



Richt handled things as he should have. He listened to Franklin’s complaint. He apologized for the over-the-top actions of his player and coach and he made his views on taunting pretty clear. You can be sure Richt doesn’t want to run a program where players pop off to opposing coaches. That’s bush league and if a Vandy player had done the same to a Georgia coach, Bulldog fans would still be screaming bloody murder today.

Franklin overheard complaining at a Wendy's drivethru:

"and when I pulled up there were a lot of cars...AND THEN I had to speak loudly into the intercom..............AND THEN I asked for 10 sides of extra hot sauce but you only gave me 9 extra hot and 1 regular hot....AND THEN my feelings were hurt.......Could you please not do that again?"

The main thing I agree with out of that article is the let's hand out the punishment and move on portion. Both coaches were in the wrong, SW was in the wrong. It's an emotional game, learn from mistakes and move on.

Franklin earned respect of his players, Grantham earned respect from his, CMR was the typical wallflower we see every day. IMO the right stance to take in the heat of that moment. I would hate to have seen what Muschamp would have done as the HC in that spot.

Wendy's manager MR reply:

9 extra hot and 1 regular hot? That guy at the drive through is a dumb***. This is horse****.

Just for the record.. that's just a joke. I'm not really trying to jump all over CMR for this.
His apology in the heat of the moment after hearing what Franklin had to say is the least of
my concerns about him.

SW gets a two quarter suspension as well. Good thing we have some depth on the Defense.
