From Athens- Game Day Friday # 1

Good Morning All,

It has been awhile but here we are at game day Friday.

It has been a hot summer in Athens and for the most part a quite one.

We did have the loss of several players who for different reasons wanted off the bus and to go find success elsewhere.

We do not have jerseygate to affect the start of this season. Or anything like what is happening in Baton Rouge. Thank God for small favors.

No season ending injuries other than the unlucky TS who is a DGD for all his effort and past hard work. May he find his place and do well. I believe he will.

From all that I have heard from campus this month we will be favorably surprised with what we see from our team.

No boasting or trash talking by the players. More of the We and less of the Me attitude. Little coach speak and excuses offered. A very good thing!

We have had no fighting between teammates this spring or fall and CMR did not take the team for a swim this year. I see the non- fighting as a positive. that we are banging hard in practice trying to make us all better. Play under control and no silly flags for fighting.

There have been more subtle changes rather than huge ones. I for one think between Mac and CJT a rebirth of doing it the Georgia way has taken place with our football program. Without question it has brought a change to CMR.

OK - wlayton I know it is still show me time……. I agree.

The “Nation” has waited and is ready to see what will happen when the plunger is pushed.

Been awhile since we have heard and felt a “Boom”. It has been a fizz for to many games in the recent pass.

I am ready for a “Bloody Mary” Sunday victory brunch.

Georgia is ready for her first grilled chicken “winners” reward. (Thanks Buc!)

Time to shut up and put up!

great post as always yd1.......the nation is ready and I am STOKED......walked into work at the clinic this morning decked out in Dawg gear of course and right away start hearing it......alot of LSU and Bama people down here......I did not say a word.....I just BARKED.....

I am always excited this time of year.
I am extra excited this year.

You guys got that right. Game time. MY adrenaline is pumping, and I don't even play the game. (What in the world must it feel like to be Isaiah Crowell right now?!) And it's just Friday. And I've got a pile of work on my desk that MIGHT get partly done today, but it'll have to be this morning - 'cause as the day progresses, I get more and more JACKED UP!

Yes Sir. It's time. Time for the skin to crawl, and blood running so fast through your body you cant sit down. I feel like I could run a thousand miles right now. Ready to watch the big uglies make holes for the backs and the wideouts to be as sharp as razors, cutting up the turf in the dome. Time to watch our LEADER march these boys up and down that field as effortlessly as possible. Time for some unknown to the nation young bucks come to the dome and make a name for themselves. Time to see what the S&C has done to turn these boys from athletes to phenomenons. Time is here gents, I am so pumped w/ excitement I cant even explain. I haven't slept in a week....

I do want to inform Bozo of one thing: when Crowell is in the game Boise WILL blitz. mark it down. They will test the kid's blocking ability.
