Office predictions

Gillette you must have been in my conversation earlier at one of my deliveries. Had a guy talking up Boise as if they were gonna dominate us in every aspect. Let him know that I expect it to be a tough first half, but after half time our coaches unleash the dawgs in the third quarter. Believe we could be tied or losing at the conclusion of the second quarter, but after Grantham gets to the D Boise won't score again. 35-17 dawgs.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

He is uninformed.

You guys have a huge edge on special teams, both kicking and returning. The last I heard, we haven't named our kicker yet!? The punter's new too.

In an early game like this, that could well be the difference.

Your TE's are superb.

Your NTs have a 50 pound advantage on our center.

Although green, you have NFL talent all through your defense.

We have plenty of strenghts too, but to say BSU is going to dominate in all areas is without basis.

It's football, and things can go downhill fast(don't we know), but I see this game, as so many of our big games do, going down to the wire, with maybe a late turnover being the deciding factor.

Seevee,

I think a lot of folks on this board have a good bit in common, especially as it relates to this particular game. I imagine the last week or so has been the same for you as for me...I find myself one day completely convinced that we will win handily...and the next asking myself, after last season, what makes me think we can hang with the #5 team in the country.

As Buc alluded to in a different post, that's what makes college football, and this game in particular, so great. I think, from a fans perspective, Georgia fans and Boise State fans alike can come up with dozens of reasons why we win this game...but until toe meets leather...we just don't know. Regardless of which side you're pulling for, I think we can all agree on one thing...THANK GOD THE SEASON IS HERE!

And MOST of us can agree on one other thing...GO YOU HAIRY DAWGS!!!

that's why I love college football over the NFL..college teams reinvent themselves every season and one really doesn't know until game 3-4 what you have...I agree this game will go down to the wire and I suspect that both defenses will do themselves proud..

You're right, OldSouthDawg, it is not possible for the number 5 team in the nation to "sneak up" on anybody. They are already THERE:

Heisman Trophy Candidate at QB
Top receiving corps.
Awesome O-line that only gave up 5 sacks ALL last year.
Smothering, big, fast Defense.

We don't stand a chance . . . :woohoo:
