Thought I would post this about Seiler talking about choosing UGA IX.

I have the same question and concern as this poster.
From a poster
Why does the UGA mascot have to come from this family? That's the question I would like answered. There a plenty of white English Bulldogs out there from different lines that are perfectly healthy and ready to hit the sideline NOW.

The past 2 UGAs from the Seilers have been unhealthy and have not lasted very long. It's time to get UGA from a different genetic line.

Anyone here know why UGA has to come from this family? I've posted this before and never have figured this out. IMHO, they should have a contest and pick the best UGA no mater where it comes from.

UGA VI was one healthy dog.
Georgia, my bulldog, is his great granddaughter.
So far, so good, as far as her health.
Knock on wood. Good health in bulldogs is subjective.

Bulldogs have a history of bad health and short lives. Count yourself fortunate to have a healthy one.......the UGA's aren't exempt.

Frankie McGillicuddy, the bulldog in my Avatar, died suddenly last week. He was pushing 5 years. It happens.
