This has probably been said already, but a friend of the family is a walk on OLman. He says that they have let Jenkins get snaps at full back; but I doubt Bobo has enough creativity to use him.

Jenkins hasn't practice in about a week because of a hamstring problem. Rather have a guy carrying the ball that is USED to carrying the dang ball.....no fooling around in these 1st two games....try that in an easy game.

Really liked hearing Richt say in his after scrimmage rundown that the players are well. I had become a bit concerned about all of the "hammies" over the last couple of weeks. Know that you and I believe in stretching. We went through some of this a couple of years back.

IC made the statement that he feels he can have the same impact for UGA that a certain young back did for South Carolina. Another thing that I have noticed about IC is he is not a big talker, answers questions, says what he believes and lets it ride from there.

Know the 1's and 2's were working against the scout team and a couple of others, still glad that the 1's and 2's on the offensive line are moving folks. Heck of a situation for Friend to step into this, his first "real year" at UGA. Couple of comments that have been made about drive blocks makes me happy. Got to turn those "Big Dawgs" loose, let them fire out at the defense on occasion. Real heartening to know that IC is ready, and I personally don't think that the other backs will let us down this year. Really pulling for Friend, know that he has that mentality of maybe not what BulldogShannon said (BSing) but it probably does not miss it by much.

wlayton, would not be surprised to see IC take it to the house more than once. He has to be covered, spied on, if that happens to be the case, there is no doubt in my mind that AM and the folks running routes are going to put some points on the board. AM will pick up quickly who on the other side is watching IC. Time for some football.

Welcome Mike Honcho. wlayton covered it pretty well. :)

Good points. I do think there is a little difference in the Bama game and this one.

Bama was one win away from playing for the national titile that year before losing to UF--they had no desire to be in the Utah game. To Utah, that was there Super Bowl.

The BSU game is much different. There won't be the case of Ga not wanting to be there like they didn't want to be in Memphis.UGA is jacked to be one of two premiere games next weekend.
UGA has been dumped on for two years; we have been made fun of; we have been called lazy; we have been called quitters; we are playing for CMR's job and by God, if we can't beat a bunch of 2-3 star undersized players then every coach on that UGA staff should be run out of town and someone found who can get the job done.

Losing is not an option September 4. No way. Not an option.

We are going to bitch slap Boise State up and down the field.

See, here is the dirty little secret: if both teams play equally fired up, and if both teams make the same amount of mental mistakes, then WE win because our players are better than their players.

Hope I don't double post. Lost my last one.

Love this kind of talk! Reminds me of the Sooners before we made them Laters. We've been called worse before we came out best.

And here's a dirtier, littler secret; football, more than any other team sport, relies on sychronized movement, poise, knowing your job, and adjusting on the fly....ie. coaching. And we have out-coached almost every team we've played. What makes you think this will be different?

For all you guys who like the "hitting" aspect of the game (which is pretty much everyone on the site). A quote from Rivals by Zander Ogletree:

"This past Saturday he (Williams) tried to do the same thing as (Alec Ogletree). He came inside and I was able to lay out a pretty good blow," he said. "At first, I was scared for him. When I hit him he fell straight back. I thought I'd killed him. I'm trying to finish, so I was holding him but his eyes were closed. I was really worried that I had killed someone on the field, but it's all good and I love him as a teammate."

Fortunately, Williams just had the wind knocked out and was able to continue.

As for Ogletree, he hopes there's more hits to come.

Although he's listed as the backup to starting fullback Bruce Figgins, Ogletree's penchant for contact - not only in the backfield but on special teams - guarantees he'll see plenty of reps this fall.

"To play the position of fullback, a linebacker, any position that's between the lines, you've got to be ready to hit and love hitting," he said. "That's just me. I feel I was born to just play that."
