If he thinks UGA and Bama are neck and neck with coaches, acadademics, etc., he should pick Bama based soley on the UGA football programs decline over the past 3-4 years. I'm just speaking as if I were him with no loyalty to either of the two teams and looking at the records of the two teams.
Hate to say it and have to call it like it is guys.
But I hope he picks UGA if he's as good as they say he is.

Couple of things.
Saban said everything the kid WANTED to hear, where CMR seemed to keep it "real". Saban has no freakin clue whether a Jr in HS is going to make it in the NFL. CMR should keep things in the "here and now"...imo.
Also don't blame the kid for waiting to see how things unfold for CMR. Less embarrassing to "commit" to UGA and if CMR is fired, then you "de-commit".
Important season this year for a LOT of reasons I guess.

DAWG1277, I would love for each and every rated football player in the State of Georgia to find their way to Athens. Ain't gonna happen.
Other side of the coin, sure glad that we find some quality football players in Florida. All we have to do is check the folks that have their cleats in the Sanford Stadium turf and remember where they played high school football.
When you posted this thread, started hitting the keys, stopped, took a look and erased/deleated what I started with. I am with sadlerdawg on this one, as I am a lot of the time . . . figure out what it is you want to do . . . . then do it. Too many athletes, more than enough to go around for all of the schools. Does it not usually come down to who is coaching the young folks. . . .
Speaking solely for myself, which is all I can do, don't want folks taking our Schools of Learning down to where it only benefits an athletes efforts. Don't and will never accept the HOSTAGE GAME.
Good question, makes one think . . . . or post FIRST. AJC needs the "FIRST" hits, not this site.
Go Dawgs!! Great School . . . . UGA . . . . You are welcome to play between the Hedges, might want to consider an education, then think about the NFL. 1/2 of 1% of college football players end up in the NFL. FACT . . . .
Does Richt or Saban or any other coach or recruiter make mention of that? Don't think so.

My opinion, anyone that goes "public" about two schools and basically says they are dead even, is most likely craving attention, and is also challenging the schools to break the tie by what they can offer him--a la Cam Newton. He's said pretty much everything from academics to coaches is the same, so who's going to break the tie with some "under the table" offers?? (Hint--he will be wearing crimson) Point being, if the media would stop sucking up to these prima donnas and giving them all the spotlight and printing this useless garbage, it would prevent some of this gold digging.
