Not surprised, reflects the effort on the field he gave as well. really a blessing in disguise I believe. as I posted before we are better off with the new guys. GO DAWGSSSS!!!!!
OSD, agree. There seemed to be a slip three or so years ago, and I think we are now paying the price. No reason, absolutely no reason not to have a classy running back at UGA. Did Richt finally see the light? Not being ugly, trying real hard these last few years to figure out what happened to UGA FOOTBALL.
Send all of those quarterbacks to the NFL that you want, does not pay big dividends in the SEC as far as championships. Richt definitely leans toward the QB position. Good for the young men that play that position, still does not work toward beating folks that stand in our way not only on the East Side, West Side also. Great for the Detroit Lions, groomed a player for them.
Winning starts with protection of that "Richt type quarterback". Question is, how does that protection look this year . . . Cordy Glenn was within a silly millimeter of leaving for the NFL. Where the hell would this years team be without Cordy?
Bobo and Richt went nuts last year, (or close to that) telling AM to stay in the pocket. Tell you what Bobo and Richt, you guys stand in that supposed pocket that you are talking about. AM ran because he knew that he could score some points or . . . keep folks like those Auburn folks from killing him. Auburn almost ended AM's college career. AM stayed in the pocket and we all know what happened. My bet is that he is going to be using those wheels this season. What choice is he going to have? One old man's opinion.
Some folks don't like to talk about the game passing Richt by. My question is this, why does it pass other coaches by and not Richt . . . . The more I look, the less that I like. Said in more than one thread on this board . . . . explain to me why Richt and Bobo should not be on the hot seat. These are the players that they have recruited, why are we (UGA) coming up short. . . .
Now we have Crowell, Jenkins and others, do we have excuses this year, and if we do, what are they . . . . bad recruiting, bad coaching . . . maybe I just do not understand.
Comes down to this. In Atlanta we will see just what has changed or remained the same in Athens.
Go Dawgs . . . Coach Them Up!!
