Took a trip south yesterday (Friday) Plantation, Florida. Catching up on posts. While it is slow, these posts are outstanding. Looking at your matchups thriller, interesting there are six top ten teams listed there. Sure hope that we can find our way back into the upper echelon as noted in the article.

kentdaddy, today read a lot of varying opinions on the new (once again) scholarship numbers. About the only thing I can say at this point is some are happy others are mad as heck. Personally, don't think much will change.

Two Georgia golf teams play for the NC tomorrow. Sweet . . . .

Buc....Chris Hack does an unbelievable job for the men's team. Has built quite a good resume.

Greetings wlayton. Could not agree more. Knowing that you played golf in college, you really appreciate talent. Chris Haack not only coaches, was a really good golfer. Know you are aware of the site below, had to post anyway.

Oops.....Haack....what a name for a golf coach, huh? That's like the football coach having the name of.....Joe Eastern Michigan.

Not why I posted. When I first came on this board you mentioned Douglas, Georgia and some of the folks that played in that area. You still chasing the white ball?

Hey Buc, you are right....I remember talking about Douglas. In my younger years I played against Lynn Lott and Larry Hinson, who both were on the PGA Tour. I battled Lynn in HS championships and many times in the Okefenokee Invitational tournament (he won one and I won one). Both of them were great players. There were MANY great golfers in south Ga. and especially in Waycross (my home). My brother was co-captain of the UGA Golf team and another Waycrossian, Al Tyre NEVER......NEVER lost a singles golf match in his last 3 years at UGA (couldn't play varsity as a freshman then). Lot of great, great memories growing up in golf.

I still play about once or twice a year with clients......in the late '70's, early '80's I got hooked on racquetball and played competitively on the national scene for 30 years (US National Championships, US Open etc).

I may start playing a little more golf now with my twins......maybe just instruct them so they can take care of their old man one day. Great sport...helps you meet a lot of nice people......and a great "character builder" for sure.
