Could we lose Nkemdicie?

Could we lose Nkemdicie? was created by BulldogShannon
Ok, I know we had a great 2011 class. We need 2-3 of them in a row to get above Bama. Is this another case of us not trying hard enough?

Hear Denzel Nkemdichie cj=hooese Ole Miss. His brother Robert supposedly will go where his older brothewr goes.

dammit, looks like we are letting the three best LBers and RB's get out of the state for 2012.

Now, could the nations number one prospect get out of our grasps in 2013?

TG, don't let it happen

Yea I dont have a good feeling about it either...suppose Nutt and OleMiss have the kid hooked. Heard it was something to do w/ immediate playing time or something of the sort. Oh well, guess it is what it is at this point. I like our team :)

Looks like we have some really good young folks ready to play at the linebacker positions. Another outstanding athlete coming to UGA is Ramik Wilson from the Tampa area. He will turn some heads, has time to work his way into an already strong group for UGA. Ramik is very much like #9, always around the football . . . . with an attitude. Check him out on youtube.

Understand the crux of this thread . . . . one good year of recruiting does not change things forever. Don't like the young talent leaving the State of Georgia. Do however like seeing young talent coming from Florida to play at UGA. Ramik Wilson will be outstanding in the SEC, and soon, you and I will love watching this young pup lay the wood to anyone close to him. Ramik was a really good tight end in high school, good hands. Olivadotti will send this young man to the NFL. I said that.

BulldogShannon, if the defense lights it up this year, there will be a lot of talent available when needed. Liked Drew's comeback to MusCHOMP.

Kirk Olivadotti has that experience in the NFL, young players like that, probably a great hire. The defensive side of the ball will only get better, year after year.

DAWG1277, I like this team also. Lots of size up front on the defense, speed and toughness with the backers. Grantham and others did get Jenkins to pull away from Oklahoma State and sign with the Red and Black.

Should be a lot of noise coming out of Athens in June. yankeedawg1 will have a handle on that.

Guys, I agree with you on the talent upgrade. It just seems we are always offering late, or "not showing love" enough. I know these kids are primadonas, and I hate that, but if you want to coach at this level, you have to kiss a little ass. I would offer every kid around (like bama and UT do), but just tell em up front that when it gets to crunch time, we have to make final offers to those who have committed.

Take Nkemdichie, the older brother should have been offered LAST year, seeing how his little brother MAY be the best DL to come out of Georgia in 20 years; This kid at Chatahoochie, who grew up a dawg fan and whos coach says is the best he's seen since Eric Berry, should have been offered 6 months ago.

Worse case, as signing day comes, and they are still playing the recruitining game, you go with soemone else.

According to Belue, we have invited Nkemdicie's brother in NEXT week!!!!!!!!!! After the Ole Miss commit. What the hell? Why wasn't this kid asked in last year? We did it for Ogletree. Why not Dillon Lee and Nkemdichie???? I am tired of hearing "we got in late". He is 30 freaking minutes form campus!! CMR, you've made the coaching changes (except for Bobo), you've made the conditioning changes, now make the attitude change: if we are too lazy to out recruit other schools when the kid is 30 minutes away, and his little brother is the BEST player in the state as a sophomore.

Food for thought in your post BulldogShannon.

Looking back over the time since McGarity took over, there have been several changes. This goes to show that our school had lost its way, maybe temporarily, but Richt did say that last year was his fault. The problems however go further back that last year, maybe it has taken longer than is normal for the results to show themselves.

I am of the opinion that successful coaches do well. I also believe that untra-successful coaches do better.

It will be hard for me to accept UGA's D not just improving this year, but for years to come. Willie is gone, replaced by someone that has a plan, will put it in place and will not take excuses. I along with others keep waiting for the arrests to start, so far so good. I think that a lot of that improvement is the attitude change since Willie left. Grantham is not a man of excuses, believe him to be the real deal.

Olivadotti being in Athens as I mentioned above will seek out and sign the type of player that fits what Grantham is putting forth. I have great faith that Olivadotti was the perfect hire for the D. Apparently Grantham has friends that like the way he coaches.

You are not alone in your concerns, as you know.
