Rambo ???

Not one person on either side of the ball will turn this group into instant winners.

AM certainly proved to be a special young man, and that also goes to what you mentioned above wlayton. He should be even better this year with knowledge. As good as AM turned out to be, the team still played 6-7 ball. Slice it any way that we choose, it remains 6-7. Record books 10 years from now don't discuss the whys and what fors.

Those of us on the keyboards and reading anything that we can on the internet are basically in the same boat. We only hear and find out what "they" tell us. I found it refreshing after thinking about what the "Hitman" said publicly. Jakar Hamilton said . . . . I was lost. That takes brass ones in my opinion. Many things can and have been said about Hamilton, he however was honest to the bone. If Jakar comes back this year understanding, that will put a smile on our faces for sure. Too often over the years we have seen young men with talent, immense talent, they however did not quite figure out the way to play in a particular system. Much more complicated these days than it was many years ago.

Grantham comes on board, here is a case of changing everything on his side of the ball. Must say this, Richt had a huge decision to make, knowing that he was having a hard time with the "faithful" over a program that seemed/was in decline. Whether it was money or pride, Richt made a decision and right now it appears to be a good one. Although it cost him a lot of poker chips with the loss to UCF. Whether or not Grantham was his first or last choice, Grantham is our defensive coordinator.

Crowell can and probably will make a difference on this team. Some of the time he will make the offensive line look good. There will be times when the offensive line makes Crowell look good. That is football, team play.

Drew is coming, not a small addition, big in more ways than body. Leadership, team play. It will be interesting to see how quickly and how productive Ray is in SEC Football. Will he start, don't think so, unless he is truly that good. Same can be said for Crowell.

Then it shifts to JJ and just how good he will be. All I know is what I have read. Drew is in the same area of being "good" as JJ, AM, IC and others.

Last shot. We have a great punter, field goal/kickoff man with quality backup.

I believe that this year comes down to two things, offensive line and special team play. Both of these areas will win or be the reason we win two games maybe three. This will definitely play out in the first two games of the season.

IC better start with all of the attention that Richt has given him. By that I mean simply this . . . Richt and the rest of the offensive coaches have hitched their horses to IC's wagon, with their playing and coaching experience, these coaches know the real deal when they see it, or should know. Find out for sure in Atlanta on all fronts. :)

LOVE that IC will start his first game on "the carpet".....fast track boys, Boise St had better tie their shoes a little tighter.

IC will run right by them. Those Boise St players will think that "blur" they saw was the southern food they ate the day before.

Sorry fellas.....just IC blowin' your doors off.
