ogredawg, when you added Lowndes County to the post, Brother that is all I needed to hear. Lowndes has always been football country. Me being from Coffee County, just run my mouth and dream about good football . . . . used to play a little bit of golf, guess that doesn't count.
AllDawgs5, 26 . . . . be proud young puppy, enjoy your youth, and keep posting the way you feel. Makes others respect you even more. You were probably a load on the field.
yeppers..........Region 1AAAAA (was 1AAA when I graduated from Lowndes, showing my age) toughest Region in the state.........few Dawgs came out of there Godfrey, Goff, Belue, Lastinger and now the "new kids" Rome and Marshall......back when when I was in school Valdosta ruled...........now Lowndes is King......goes in cycles.....too bad the Lowndes staff pushes the kids to Tallahasse and that skool on the plains....

Last time that the school (Forest Park High School Panthers) that I played for faced Valdosta was in the early 60's. I was discharged from the Navy in 61, came home from Japan and got to watch us take a whipping at Grant Field. Never have I seen so many players dressed out representing a high school. First half was good, second half Valdosta got us. Bazemore was a load, and he taught his players to do what I am hoping happens this year with our Dawgs. Fingers crossed.
Also in agreement with your Dad, tired of losing the South Georgia talent to FSU and others in Florida. We seriously need to back this years recruiting effort up with the same vigor used to get folks from South Georgia in 2011.
This is going to be an interesting team to watch from a lot of different angles. I will come here for recaps and opinions, for sure. . . . don't give a hoot if I am "last".

PS...I didn't include Houston County Bears or Veterans High since they aren't too sure what to do when they take the field.
Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

I never look at ajc unless posted on here. I mainly just take in what you guys submit. I would say I'm in the same boat as ALLD and probably the "youngest pup" here being only 23. As for Lowndes County, I must disagree since I'm from Houston County. If you guys don't know the area teams, they are the Northside Eagles and Warner Robins Demons. I survive off of UGA football. Have already made plans for G Day and working on plans for the opening kickoff game against BS. Hope to see you guys there. I'm trying to not buy into the hype of this year but reading news and how you guys feel about the team is making it difficult.

born2bAdawg, think most on this board are familiar with Northside and Warner Robins. Lots of championships and victories on the football field. I was really disheartened when Jeffrey Whitaker chose Auburn over UGA, but that is that.
I think this year that Abry Jones is going to have a huge impact in Grantham's 3/4 and 4/3. Both Jones and Whitaker are a cut above, and they were rated that way coming out of high school. Would love to see AJ have bragging rights over JW after the game in Athens this year. Both are about the same size, 6'3" and around 300 pounds. Yep, familiar with your area big time. Hoping that Houston County turns out to be a hot bed for UGA for years to come. Lots and lots of talent in that area. Championships don't lie.
