sadlerdawg, bulldawg36869. I am curious what you two think about the recent commits and what the future looks like. Know with the openings at UGA it is hard to talk about hirings. I respect what I see you guys post, just curious about "gut feelings".

Buc, personally, I'm cautiously excited. Richt definitely came through on signing day, so that's exciting, but I've seen this movie before. I'm hoping he's gotten the message from Mick this time, and proves it this fall. We definitely have the potential to have a good season.
I'm anxious to see how Crowell pans out. If he lives up to his potential, definately could be the Lattimore/Dyer factor for us. I personally think his main competition for playing time will come from Malcome, not Ealey.
Very interested to see how the D pans out. REALLY hoping JJ commits to us tomorrow. We have the tools, especially if JJ's there, to return to the JYD's.
No excuses for Richt in the fall.
Folks have discussed what would have to happen for Richt to keep his job. For me to be satisfied with the season, what HAS to happen is not W-L, but this--
Beat Boise, SC, UF, and the nerds (the nerds shouldn't be hard to beat).
Win the east.
Play a respectable NY's day bowl

To me that would be a satisfactory turnaround.
And, it's hard to believe I'm saying this, but my "gut" feeling is that we will accomplish that.

Salderdawg, I am with you and have no reason other than how the rest of the east of the SEC stacks up. USC- stop the run and Garica wil get happy feet and throw int's. This is were JJ and another year for CTG "D" will show up. I think our "D" can be every bit as good as FSU showed during the bowl game over USC. AM wanted to replay the JAX game the next week, he will be ready and don't think there is any question he will not play like a HS-QB.

We get Boise and USC we have an excellent chance without any injuries to run the table.
Away games to TN,Vandy,Ole Miss,JAX for UF and then at Tech. Very doable. Open date before we play UF.

So like we have all said time to GATA and talk less. Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Regarding CMR, I believe with the huge success he had with his recruiting class created a catch-22 for us fans. That class more than likely won't translate into victories for a couple of years which NOW gives CMR a two year window to turn the program around. Sure IC, Drew and maybe one or two others will get playing time but they need more than just fall practice to learn the system and for getting use to the speed of the college game. We could have a season like the Sugar Bowl year (against Hawaii) where we lost some early games then really played great the second half of the year which propelled our ranking into the next year.

Bottom line.....HUGE recruiting class buys CMR more time imo. He will be given time to develope these players which will carry over an extra year. The start of 2011 could still be questionable. IC isn't HW.

But he very well could be Lattimore, who single-handedly propelled SC to the East title. And we have more talent around him than SC did. And JJ, if he comes, could easily make a HUGE difference next year.
And I disagree that Richt bought more time...another year like last year, or one only a little better, and I think he's done.

If we can beat Boise and USC, the sky's the limit.
We owe Auburn a big one.
I'm anxious to see how we play in Knoxville, seems like an albatross lately.
We need leadership, like Greene and Pollack.
I may be wrong. I see that from Murray and this class.
Let the freshmen PLAY!
