Ah yes grasshopper, IC is not HW but he is also not CK or WE. Upgrade in the RB makes for much easier passing. True we will need to step up on the "O" line as Buc and others have pointed out.

Like pitching backwards off the fastball we may have sucess in setting the run up off the pass.

IC has very soft hands and can run very good routes giving him the ball in space off a screen pass or wheel route will show up in the playbook for sure. Very true the start of the season and how quick these new Dawgs learn will play a big part in early success however,we have a whole bunch of speed and raw talent that can turn into points in a flash. Go Dawgs

But he very well could be Lattimore, who single-handedly propelled SC to the East title. And we have more talent around him than SC did. And JJ, if he comes, could easily make a HUGE difference next year.
And I disagree that Richt bought more time...another year like last year, or one only a little better, and I think he's done.

I agree and hope he is a Lattimore. Remember too, the SEC East sucked last year. USC wasn't that great, everybody else in the east was TERRIBLE....

I hope we come out and dominate and never look back but I'm trying to be realistic at the beginning of the year. We will be dogs in the 1st two betting lines against BSU and USC, count on it. Also agree that if CMR has as bad a season as last year, yeah, he's gone but guess what I should have said was with that unbelievable recruiting class and an 8-4 record, he may get another year.

Totally agree YD1 but speed that isn't in the right position is useless. Look no further than speed we've had in the defensive secondary only to get burned because these Fr/So's were out of position. It takes time.

True true no question time to age and gain experince is a must. However as you know speed can get you both in and out of trouble. Just may be our time to have somebody chase us for a change!!!

Have a great weekend, good to know we have 7 months to chew this around. Let's just go get JJ and open a can of woop*ss and be done with it. Order of gator tail and stuffed chicken be fine.

Last season might be that we were at a disadvantage on a couple of accounts.

1. New D Coach(es).

2. Entirely New System. Don't really have to go into the WM thingy about not looking for the ball in the air and all of the different calls for the 3/4 versus the 4/3. There are many. Rambo had a much better year, year before last. New system seemed to kick his butt.

Basically every person on last years defense was green, won't call them Freshmen, but everyone on that side of the ball started even. I have to believe that many on the defensive side learned a lot last year, even though it was a 6-7 season. Coming back this year, many of these young men will not have that confused look and have to have Grantham crawling their butts. I suspect that Jones being around the team last year, hits the turf running. Older guys know the system, makes it easier for the incoming recruits, no doubt.

sadlerdawg, I am with you. Cautiously optimistic. AM proved that he could make the offense work against none other than the National Champs. We all know that the Auburn DB's could be had, AM made it look real simple in the early stages of the game.

Coach Richt had a super recruiting season, here is hoping that he carries that over for the next couple of years. I expect 2012 recruiting to either equal or come close to this year. There is a lot of talent in the State that can be moved in the direction of Athens if UGA plays football this fall.

Seems I have either heard or read that we have 7 returning starters on defense. If that is the case and two of the other positions are filled by JJ and RD, creates a lot of backups that can spell these two players. JJ will play, RD will play. Leaves two positions that need to be filled. That sounds good to me.

Could this be the beginning of another war with Auburn. . . . JJ speaks out.
