“Nick Marshall is one of the most amazing athletes that I think we have in this class. ... He’s a guy looking at defensive back wise, I don’t usually get to coach guys like this. He’s very athletic. He’s physical. He’s got good size to him. We’re looking forward to lining up at corner and there might be some things we try to utilize him on the other side of the ball.”

I have been very high on this young man from the get go. Personally think that he would be one heck of a receiver. Looking at the team now and with the new additions, I hope they leave him on the D side of the ball. Great to hear Lakatos say this openly about one of the young men he will coach.

Another comment today that I really liked was Bobo saying that Richt was on the phone working the 2012 class. Not sure, but think Richt got the message from McGarity and he is doing an outstanding job.

One of the quotes on this thread today went something like this . . . Boise State seems to think we are a piece of cake. C'mon down, lets play some football, we'll try and make it respectable. ;)

Started to remind them, what the heck, we will see in Atlanta. Their last trip between the hedges should be a reminder, that is . . . . that is up to our coaches and players.

In my time with UGA wlayton, have never witnessed a class with this much potential.

I'm with ya Buc, I haven't either.....unbelievable class, especially if we get Jenkins.

With this bunch of kids, geez, even I could win games coaching em up.

Going to cross my fingers again for JJ. That is the missing piece in my and others opinion needed for this class. Hope that Grantham and others have done what was/is necessary to fulfill the "Dream Team". Right now JJ is the missing link.

Here is a player that has Richt doing a dance, pumps me up also. Richt knows talent when he sees it and this young man has it.

“Malcolm Mitchell is a Dog!” Words out of Richt's mouth. Also watched Richt live and his comment was that Grantham might have to look elsewhere, or something to that effect. I think that the offensive side of the ball has found and signed that receiver needed after number 8 left. No, not comparing MM to AJ, seldom does a receiver with AJ's talent come along. However, with the talent surrounding MM it affords him more opportunities than AJ had game after game. Orson Charles, Jay Rome and too many other WR's to mention. This outfit now has a thing called speed, and speed kills.

I start thinking along this line . . . .
How can I not be excited when I look at the players on the O side of the ball. QB's, RB's, TE's and WR's. Boat load of talent.

We know that AM has wheels, understands the UGA offensive playbook, top to bottom. Who gets the ball? If you are Boise State for example, who do you key on, only so many allowed on defense, think it is 11. Here is where sadlerdawg and I are on the same page . . . some sort of spread or SOMETHING DIFFERENT from the same playbook we have used for years.

I mean this sincerely. With all of the talent we have in school and have recruited this year, the one thing that can neutralize us is the offensive line. This bothers me more than any other phase of our game. I sure hope that we are at least two deep at every position or have those very important swing guys. Against our SEC foes, we have to have that solid front. O line steps up, this could be a year to remember.

Great day guys, enjoyed the posts. We have all done our work, the coaches have listened to us, it was about time. :silly:

Coach Richt, you are definitely a special recruiter. Take this team into Atlanta and try to give Boise State a game, maybe like the one that Nevada gave them at the end of last season. Oh yeah, would love to see JJ in the middle, might make BS's passing and outside game the kind of game that folks like Drew, Jones and others might like.
