Recruiting 2011

Today is the day. I'm hoping that everyone will join this thread to provide updates and their thoughts through out the day.

Today could be the turning point for the Dawgs. If we get most of the guys on our "wish list", success will now be on CMR and company. No excuses.

If it all turns out as predicted at this point, I say "hats off the the recruiting efforts".

8:13 a.m.: UGA announces first LOIs

DE-LB Ray Drew, CB Nick Marshall, DE Sterling Bailey, OL David Andrews, LS Nathan Theus and DT Chris Mayes have faxed in their letters-of-intent, according to UGA. So have QB Christian LeMay and WR Chris Conley, who were already enrolled.

It's a lot like Christmas in February!

I just read a pretty good article to keep people like me from getting too overly optimistic - they threw out a few names from the past . . . Jasper Sanks . . . Albert Hollis III . . . a few others.

But still, this year just feels different. The Dream Team. I think 2011 will be THE year. BTW Boise St. fans are already trash talking us, complaining that they didn't mean to sign to play such a "cup cake" to open their season. I'm not kidding.

8:29 a.m.: Another LOI comes in

Sanford Seay, the wide receiver from Lee County High School, has filed in. That brings the total to nine.

Pagan goes to Bama.... ouch !

Yeah, I thought we were going to get him. However, he is the one guy off the list that I was OK with not signing. Already have Drew and Bailey, plus what we already have on campus. Focus needs to be Jenkins, Crowell, Richardson and Turene. Those are the big ones in my opininon.
