Hey dapolla, didn't you tell me you were in your mid twenties (26-27)? You will mellow a little over time. I'm much older than you and nobody wants the Dawgs to win more than I do, it actually effects my lifestyle based on wins and losses, championships, etc etc.(which is a little sad, I guess). But I have learned over the years (mellowed) that I hate losing and especially to our rivals, but don't hate the actual people involved. Rivalries are great, fun and a big part of our lives but I take the stance of hating to lose or hating other teams to win instead of UGA, but never try to establish hatred toward coaches and/or players etc that are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities as well. (sorry to be so long, especially on something you probably disagree with me on). Anyway, I do understand where you are coming from, I was there when I was 27 as well.

I don't know any of these guys, so of course I don't actually hate hate them. Look, Stephen Davis played for Auburn, but he took my Panthers to the Superbowl. I simply hate the idea of them, what they represent. Especially if they're really really good and can beat the Dawgs if the cards fall right. I wouldn't punch Phil Fullmer in the face if I had the chance. But come football season -- oh, hell, come any day from 1/1 to 12/31 -- I reserve the right to say that I would punch Phil Fullmer in the face if I had the chance.

Well wlayton,I'm glad that we agree on most things regarding hate. I guess I can dislike the action, but not the people involved in the action. Old age does cause a mellowing effect. I just have a strong dislike to lossing at anything, especially if it involves the Dawgs.

Yes DawgDoc, I believe we are on the very same page. The \"hate\" word is thrown around too easily and too often and in my opinion is a very vicious and often missused word. Anyway, I expressed my opinion above.
