Hate Urban?

I just realized I've posted twice today hating on Urban Meyer. Let's make it a hat trick!

I officially declare January 30 to be \"I Hate Urban Meyer\" day! Let us use Florida t-shirts as toilet paper and eat alligator steak on this day of all days! Let us play looped footage of Urban crying at the '05 South Carolina game and come up with creative ways to make fun of the name Tebow. Let us claim that Boise State has a share of the 2006 National Championship and call Chris Leak too short to be an NFL quarterback!

LET US CALL UPON URBAN MEYER TO TRY STAYING AT ONE SCHOOL FOR MORE THAN TWO YEARS!!!

Dapolla, hate is such a strong word. Do you dislike the man or his actions?Why do you have such a strong revulsion for Myer? I don't like the Gators, but I really don't hate them. The same goes for Tech, Auburn and the rest of our opponents. I just want to win everytime we compete, wheather it's football, baseball, roundball, golf, swiming, tennis or tiddly-winks. I am a loyal fan and graduate, having two degrees from that great institution. When I attended all the games both home and away, there were some campuses I didn't like because I felt their fans had no class and were often very rude, crude and tattooed, but I didn't hate them. Coach Myer may not have any class, may not be true to his word, and in the words of Snuffy Smith,a \"skulldugerous\" rascal. I guess I just hate the word hate!

DawgDoc, let me tell you a story about hate. Just after my wife and I bought our first house, Steve Spurrier was hired by SCarolina. I launched into a profanity-laced tirade, and my wife asked me, \"So, why do Georgia fans hate Steve Spurrier so much?\"

She had struck me speechless. I sat there with my mouth open for a brief period of time. Was it possible that anyone in the universe could be asking that question seriously? Then I calmly explained to her how we hadn't beaten Florida since 1997, that before that we hadn't beaten them since 1989, that Spurrier ran up the score on us every chance he got, that more than anything it was just impossible to beat Florida and Spurrier was the symbol of all of that. After a moment of taking that in, she said, \"Yeah, I'd hate him too.\"

There's a reason why the Tech game is called \"Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.\" There's a reason the games are called rivalries. Yes, I hate Urban Meyer. I began hating him not when he took the Florida job, but when he began interviewing with Notre Dame in 2005. He had spent time building a strong program at Utah and was about to leave it for more prestige and more money at a proven institution rather than creating a new one. Now I hate him even more because he's at Florida and we haven't beaten him yet and he just won a freaking National Championship.

Yes I hate Tech. And Tennessee. And Auburn and LS-Who? And now, SCarolina. And for at least one more year I'll hate Vandy and Kentucky. I'm a Dawg fan, and I root for Georgia and NO ONE ELSE.
