UGA Football . . . A Real Test

OSD, I promise I'm not trying to push buttons, and I know feelings about Cam right now are mixed, but lets not get into the "church taking money" thing haha. I don't care how they got their renovation, and it has no relevance to this football game. In the back of our minds, we're gonna wonder regardless, and find out eventually about Cam. But I have to say, the number one thing is, like Buc said, to find out what OUR team is made of when there is something to prove late in the season going into (what many on this board have called the championish year) 2011. I hope Cam and Fairley are Lights Out in this game! But I hope more that AM and JH become a FORCE!! I'm excited to see the results of the controversy, etc., and truly have had a really good feeling about this game for the DAWGS to this point. Guess we'll see....

By the way, as a former US Marine, I've had a couple to this point (it being the 235th Marine Corps Birthday today) and just wanna remind you all, that tomorrow is Veteran's Day. Shake a hand if you know someone that served, or if you have, like FlyingDawg, thanks brother, and be PROUD!

OSD, the point that I am trying to make is this. I really want to see what our team has learned this year. What better team, with all that is surrounding this game to play against than Auburn. Both teams are going to let the spit fly . . . . I like hardnosed football. Players on the field will decide the outcome.

No doubt Cam will go Pro after this year. Good Lord gave him the talent, maybe missed a time or two when trying to use the gray matter, not the first time, not the last. I want to see our football team play against a talent that is not a tight end, he is a QB.

So Buc - you think we might can take this game - I do think we can score some points on them - but just don't see us stopping cam - no one has been able to this year and he has faced some higher ranked defenses than ours - BUT here's a couple of things that surprised me this week - fla being ranked again after beating a .500 team and cbs picking this game as the sec "game of the week" - maybe we're better than I think we are - we'll see - IF we do beat them - we would be in the running for the biggest upset of the year so far

Hey Buc, I agree I want our guys to face the Best, But we all must play by the same rules. We had to give up AJ. Its not fair they keep newton all yr. IMO I have never seen this much smoke where there is no fire. He and auburn will make our conf look dirty. You cant say hey we should play against pro QBs and blame us when we lose against them. This guy was stealin laptops from the begining. Dosent look good au will pay a price as usc did for bush once this is over. I just wished it wasnt in the SEC. I am all for us playing against the best ,just not playing aginst the best paid!! GO DAWGS!!!

Agree Buc......I definitely want him to play. No pressure on us at all, we should pin our ears back and have a blast playing this game. I'm really excited and looking forward to the game.....like watching a "no pressure" game.

OSD, as far as Cam being a "pro" etc and shouldn't play, look at AJ etc......here's the potential deal.....

If the NCAA finds out they did in fact take a recruiting payment, you can count on AU receiving punishment. They would have to forfeit all games, AU would probably fire Chizik and if things are bad enough, don't think the NCAA wouldn't consider the "death penalty".....won't happen but if it is severe enough, there would be talk. So rest easy my friend AU WILL be punished if guilty and punished severely.

Just saw where vegas actually dropped the game to bet on because of the fear that cam might not play due to a rumor that had apperently circulated this afternoon that cam would be suspended this evening

I hope he plays - would like to see how our D could handle a player of his skills - reguardless of the rumor stuff - he's a good football player
