UGA Football . . . A Real Test

Allow me this post.

Let's say that all of this "stuff" that is being thrown about is true. That will come out in the end, one way or another.

My feelings are. . . .I hope that Cam plays on Saturday against UGA. Why? I would like to know where my football team actually stands against a good football team. We opened the season with a cream puff, our last game was nothing more than a scrimmage. A scrimmage that is tougher when we play against our third and fourth string players.

After our first game, we played a team that hits and fights back, South Carolina. We all know how that came out. Much consternation on this board and all UGA blogs. After several setbacks, we picked up the pace, sort of, and won some football games.

Now we are facing a real football team this Saturday, Auburn, number two in the nation. We are facing them after playing a team that we should NEVER have played. So, are we a good football team, have we learned anything from the first win and the first loss this season?

The blogs that I have read, and there have been many I assure you, want Cam to be ineligible to play this week. I say BS. Win, lose or draw, I want us to go against Cam and Frailey, (sp?) find out just exactly where we are. Two dynamic players for Auburn, one on each side of the ball. What better way to determine where our offense and defense are in our next to last game, or next, next to last game.

I call it chicken spit to want another team to lose their two best players. We beat them then and what . . . . ? I want to know what to expect from our team next year.

NCAA and SEC will get heavily involved in the Cam investigation, already are. Leave that to them. Maybe it is another Reggie Bush deal, that is for the higher ups to decide.

Play these guys, find out the TRUTH not only about our players, our COACHES are on the line also. Let us see how we defend against a super stud on the offensive side. Let us see how we defend against a super stud on their defensive line.

This is slobber knocking football, right? If we don't want our team to play against the best, then wish for lesser teams like we have played and live with it. I hope that we stand tall and regain our focus. I would love to call our team "Junkyard Dawgs" again. Many on this board would.

Go Dawgs, show me where you are at . . . . . both defensively and offensively. Players and coaches. Talk is CHEAP.

We haven't beaten a team with a winning record yet this season. It isn't a foregone conclusion that we'll beat a Cam-less Auburn, even.

Buc I agree to a point, I have heard that his daddies church got there renovation last yr before he went to auburn. that $$ came from some where? I dont think its fair that our guys are playing against a Pro QB, If he took money which it looks like his daddy did ,then why should anyone play by the rules? AJ had to sit out for a jersy, not two hundred thousand. He never denied anything in his interview including cheating at fla. If he took money he is a pro ath. not college. where there is this much smoke there is fire. We might as well have mike vick playing for Auburn. I am sure newton will go pro after this season to get out while the gettin is good. But in the mean time our whole conf will look bad because of him and his Daddy and auburn takin this chance on him IMO. Too much info coming out for there not to be somthing bad going on here.

Agree Buc - I hope we make it interesting - think cbs hopes it will be - had thought they would take the fla/sc or bama/miss st games for the "cbs sec game of the week"

averagedawg, you and I, along with a few others have been on the same page since we have been here. Said it before, will say it again, got nothing but respect for you and your posts and threads. You my friend, never waver.

UGAChemDawg, took me a while to decide if I agreed or disagreed with your posts and threads. What I have come to realize is that you call it like you see it. You definitely don't take short cuts. Remind me a lot of kentdaddy/LimeyDawg.

This particular game has my interest more than many (all) this year. This game is about what we have learned under the new coaching techniques, both OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE.

Auburn has a huge game facing them in Alabama. Would be surprised though if they don't rally around Cam and come after our butts. Their field, this could be the game of the year for us. Just play football Dawgs, show us what we can expect from a team that has learned a lot this year.

CTG, have fun.

MB, staring you straight in the face. Maybe a pistol or something close to that . . . . who knows. Three step drops. MB, have watched you the last couple of games, you are standing closer to MR than the players. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, please.

This game has us back in the "quality slot" as far as TV scheduling goes. Don't have to go to ESPN3 or ask where we can find the game. CBS . . . . Auburn and UGA.

I believe that we, UGA wins this game . . . . . again.
