We are much better......results would be much different had AJ played those 4 games.......next year we will be dangerous.

How do you figure we're going to be dangerous next year? Especially if Bozo stays. Next year's team will essentially be this year's team without AJ Green. In other words, next year's Dawgs will look like the Dawgs of the 1st 5 games of this season. I think we're in trouble next year, myself.

I used the word "dangerous"....didn't say we were going to win the NC.

This year of experience WILL help especially our WR corp. Believe with this extra year of experience the collective corp of WR's may offset AJ leaving. They were just too "green" (no pun intended) to make up the difference THIS year for AJ.

Pretty solid everywhere...OL, D front and corners and hopefully safeties......be great to get IC for running attack and AM will improve another 30% and will LEAD this team.

We have been pretty close this year....haven't been blown out by anybody and have been in EVERY game. Next year we will be dangerous but would prefer an OC change like a Mark Whipple that I've stated before. Problem is, the offense has been scoring enough to win so Bobo WILL be back, imo.

There is a lot of upside for next year. Even if Bobo stays, I think lately the offense has had good playing calling. They have had some untimely turnovers that really changed the outlook of a game. Yes, I am about 98% sure we will not have AJ next year. However, AM is going to make a bigger difference than AJ. AJ is a great player, but I think the offense is establishing an identity as a unit, not just a one man show. Just had some really untimely turnovers that we struggled to overcome. King is going to be a nice player. If Bobo stays, hopefully he will realized Charles more. I think the use of Charles is one reason Richt is overseeing more of the play calling. Richt likes using the TE and we are starting to see OC become more of a factor. The defense is going to do nothing but improve. Look at the progress they have made this year. There have been some disappointing moments and there will probably be some more. But overall, they are improving. Overall, they are still young too. Dent, Gamble, and probably Houston will be gone. But there is a ton of talent on that side of the ball and I think it is starting to come out. Seeing Rambo improve thoughout the year, and Ogletree develop is encouraging. Rambo played one of the finest games against UF I can remember a safety playing. He was everywhere. Good combination and they are just a Soph and a frosh.

Bobo and Richt probably tamed Murray down a little to bit at the beginning of the season. Maybe they were smart to do it. I don't know. Your biggest fear as a coach is to put to much pressure on a young kid. Especially with a guy as talented as Murray. You see all coaches do that. Meyer only put Tebow is safe situations his Frosh year. Situations that wouldn't be overbearing on a young kid. We won't have to do that next year. They are not doing that anymore. Regardless of what we think, the kid is confident and playing great football. Somewhat happy they didnt jeopardize that early in the year. Maybe I am wrong. I don't know.

The running game has to be seriously addressed in my opinion. It has gotten better. Maybe the answer was changing the practice's early in the week. I bet they look at doing that again next year. I think Richt has done some good things adjusting during the season. Wish he hadn't waited so long to do it and I think he will learn from it. Now, back to the running game. This is the major flaw with this team. The fall is 2 fold. O-Line struggled in the beginning of the year. Maybe the answer for those guys are the physical practices during game week. I bet that stays around next year. Now the backs. Everyone wants to see a feature back. Don't think we will see the days where on RB carries the ball 25-30 times. Hard to recruit that way. But, I do think a No. 1 back needs to be established. I guess the coaches need to determine what guy that is. One of the backs needs to also take over that role. They are just too inconsistent. When the get the chance to take over, they fumble, or do something to jeopardize that role. One of those guys needs to step up. Maybe IC is the answer.

I would also like to see the ball in Smith's hands more. I think he needs to be converted to an offensive guy. Has the chance to take it the distance anytime he touches it. Has the chance to be a Percy Harvin like player. Not saying he will be the next one, but has that capablity to take a small gain to the house.

Just thoughts for next year. I would like to know what everyone thinks about BS moving to the offense. I think he would be better used there.

Folks started to make a new thread a couple of days ago, glad that I waited, figured I would get my opportunity.

What I saw AM doing Saturday made me even more convinced that this young dude has his act together. He knows that AJ is gone, has two or three games left at this level.

AM threw the ball to everyone that was eligible on the field. Couple of times saw AJ wide open, AM took the alternative receiver. That folks was by plan, he was preparing the young men for next year. What better time to do that . . . . . basically he was in a scrimmage. He wanted everyone to touch the ball and if possible score. AM is a leader and does that by example.

IC stated that he is going to the Auburn game with friends, will attend the Tech game in Athens with his family, think family means a lot to this young man. Reading between the lines of course, however if IC comes to Athens, he has the same if not larger effect on the offense than AJ did. Alabama loss to LSU did not hurt our chances in the IC race. IC touches the ball 25 or so times a game, AJ this year not near that number. Here is hoping that Orson Charles moves to the outside.

As far as MB, he will probably remain, but there are better choices out there, one of them lives in the Athens area now, has close ties to the current force.

Had not read or finished my post before you posted AllDawgs5. Appears that there is some agreement.
