I guess I just can't buy into the theory that since other schools have made poor coaching hires that we should never change coaches.

Because the theory is not well supported in fact.

There are plenty of schools who made good hires like Boise State, Florida, Alabama etc........of course there are good and bad, but I would rather try to be good than suffer mediocrity.

I love this site, There is alot of knowledge on it. I'm not a big poster but, I want to share my toughts. I would love to see a new OC. But I also think CMR is one of the better head coaches out there. Just a question would Joe Pa have made it to 400 with todays attitude towards football programs. I also agree that this has been a disappoing year. I think there was alot that was learned this year and we'll see a lot of imporovement next year.

Joe Pa should have been fired years ago but was not and he selfishly puts himself above the program.

Here are his last 10 seasons.

2009.....11-2

2001.....5-6
2000.....5-7

The only reason he was not fired is because he is a heritage piece.

Winning 26 games in the 5 seasons between 2000 and 2004 would get anyone but a museum fixture fired.
