Joe Pa should have been fired years ago but was not and he selfishly puts himself above the program.

Here are his last 10 seasons.

2009.....11-2
2008.....11-2
2007.....9-4
2006.....9-4
2005.....11-1
2004.....4-7
2003.....3-9
2002.....9-4
2001.....5-6
2000.....5-7

The only reason he was not fired is because he is a heritage piece.

Winning 26 games in the 5 seasons between 2000 and 2004 would get anyone but a museum fixture fired.

Wow....actually '05 thru '09 was pretty dang good.....wonder if he even remembers the team's "nickname"?

When in doubt fire someone.. thats the AMERICAN way.

Seriously though. i can see the cycle now.. fire CMR bring in coach "x" he has a good run for 4 or 5 years winning 0 sec championships but winning 9 or 10 games a year and fans are happy then he tails off for 2 or 3 years and fans want him fired for a new coach "x".. humm unfortunally for us is CMR won 2 sec and played for another in his first 6 years and has had 2 bad years in a row. Could it be Rivals or Scouts fault for rating these players so high and then they don't pan out?? no matter how good or bad the coaching is, its up to the player to be the best they can be.. go ask Ogletree, who admitted in slacking in the film room and in practice. Coaches can't babysit.

I could coach a team to an above .500 record in the Big Ten given the slow motion nature of the game and their proclivity for high fructose corn syrup, big women and general unathleticness.

There have been more than 2 bad years in a row.

I am not sure. It really is hard to convey how bad the Big Ten is while maintaining the higher level conversation we strive for here.

In a way you specifically would understand the SEC is one of the two production ZL1 corvettes (the white one) or one of the five Grand Sport Vettes while the Big Ten is The Mustang II.
