Beginning to wonder now about the relationship between MR and CTG. averagedawg had mentioned some time back that there might be a problem or, there was a rumor that King Adams was going to tone CTG down. Think I got that right, if not will gladly change this.
Think that it is common knowledge that MR did not really appear to want CBVG to be his DC. Well, that sure worked out didn't it. Those of us that have not been in the arena knew that MR would take control of that defense and work wonders. However, he became CEO and promoted one of his college mates to handle that job.
Now we have a coach that is by far more experienced in defensive football than MR and WM. Maybe the reason for not selecting CTG first to replace WM was a feeling that he was too much like CBVG.
Do personalities really matter when it comes to winning and losing? I watched Coach Mike Ditka and Coach Buddy Ryan do everything but come to blows, it however did not stop the Chicago Bears from winning a championship. In my opinion, the best defensive side of the ball maybe ever in the NFL was that Chicago team. CTG is showing the same fire that Coach Buddy Ryan took to every Sunday game with him.
CTG does not strike me as the apologizing type. He is not a pretty boy, he will get in the dirt with anyone. Anyone on any blog that does not like or understand that probably has not been in the arena, does not belong there.
I am not sure, but I am starting to get feelings that UGA football is beginning to unwind too fast. It has been coming apart a piece at a time, stuff like this comes up . . . could and probably will throw the program into a total downward spiral. Don't like walking on egg shells, appears to me we have started that process.
We will learn a lot about UGA football between now and February. Let those that know how to coach, coach.
One question for those that post here.
Do you approve or disapprove of Coach Grantham's sideline actions against Florida?
My vote, do it again if the mood strikes you CTG. They have castrated MR, don't allow it to happen to you. Would rather see you leave and coach somewhere else than to fold on some silly talk like BarnFart threw out to bring more attention to himself.
BarnFart, you stink. . . .
