I did notice they ran a few plays from shotgun, and they seemed much better. Still didn't seem to be as "spread" as they could have been.

From what I have seen when we pitch the ball to WE on the right side we have success, then CMB keeps trying to run up the middle which we always get nothing on. Its like a child beating his head against the wall. I do like the idea of the backs catching the pass out of the back field. They must get the running game going this week. another problem CMB is he likes to pass to much on 1st down which then puts us in 2nd and 10 then the D knows your running. We must run more on first and not up the middle LOL.

Yes, you are right, they certainly could have spread it out more. Maybe they will going forward with AJ, King, Durham, Wooten, Brown and OC. Certainly agree with you on the spread idea and believe AM was much more comfortable. Like I mentioned, he ran a spread offense in HS.

Coach Norm Van Brocklin was Fran's coach when he settled in at Minnesota. There was a huge problem right off. Van Brockin insisted that Fran be a traditional passer in the NFL. CNVB was a bad a-- right off, he either got his way or caught you in the bathroom and fisticuffs insued. Remember Harmon Wages out of Florida that had that happen to him in Atlanta. That was after Van Brockin was coaching there. Back in the day. AJC loved it.

Neither Van Brocklin or Fran would give an inch while in Minnesota, and VB lost his job. VB thought there was only one way to play the game, and it cost him his job. Fran actually got the kind of press then that Vick gets now . . . (the scrambling, not the other). By the way, Vick will either become the QB in Philly, or move on to more than one team that will pay him handsomely. Why . . . he has an arm and WHEELS.

If you are Mallet, that offense is right for you, 6'5" or so. Does not mean that it is right for AM. Put Mallet and AM together and have them run a 40 yard dash. Any bets?

Again, why would CMR not use an offense that he totally understands and has coached to perfetion back in the day . . . . Makes the defensive end in a 4 man front have to be alert and not ears pinned back, knowing that the QB is sitting in the pocket. Same can be said for the 3/4 defense, pins the linebackers down. AM would get a lot more than 3 seconds working out of the spread.

Mike Leach understands this, Coach Mark Richt knows this . . . . MB does not have a clue. He only knows the offense that he ran while wearing the Red and Black. I applaud him for wearing the UGA colors, he has to understand that he does not UNDERSTAND. Guess that is Coach Richt's next big challenge.

Great topic and it really shows your knowledge sadlerdawg. This coaching staff needs a "tune up" . . . . what ya think NASCAR MAN. B) B) B)

Buc, in NASCAR terms, this team is a lap down and the car is handling so poorly we're in danger of crashing and getting a DNF. The crew chief needs to use some strategy to get back on the lead lap and get some track position. That may involve replacing a certain member of the pit crew that isn't pulling his weight.
