After seeing Murray's wheels... was created by sadlerdawg
I know that CMR is a traditionalist, and would probably never waver from a 2 back pro set, and I know that Bozo is a moron and probably doesn't realize there is another formation besides the 2 back pro set, but after seeing the wheels on Murray, and his pocket awareness, I think this offense would be more productive (whether AJ's in or not) with more looks from the spread offense. I know we ran a few plays like the wildcat or wild dawg or whatever they want to call it, but I think if we used a spread more with 3 or even 4 receivers sometimes, we would benefit on offense.
Our running game is anemic, and I know that should improve some with AJ's return, but let's face it, WE and CK ain't Moreno. Let's spread the offense out and get their D spread out and give AM the chance to run or throw.

Agree, play book needs to have more plays when AM is not under center.

And what ever happened to throwing the ball to the RB as an outlet? Can they not catch?

KD, I think that's all part of Bozo's idiotic plan to continue to handcuff and protect AM--I usually see the back standing in the back field looking for someone to block rather than flaring out to receive a pass like in a normal offense.

sadlerdawg and yankeedawg1, thought I would never hear it said. Totally agree that MB does not have a clue, did watch Coach Mark Richt run a lot of that when he had Charlie Ward at FSU. It was a beautiful thing to watch, and sadlerdawg, AM is totally suited for this. CMR knows how . . . . MB, not a clue.

While AM or no one else for that matter has the wheels that Vick has, he has wheels and should be in a direct snap offense. Charlie Ward chose basketball, played for the Knicks, but had he come to the NFL, he would have been very successful. Vick proved that you don't have to be a pocket passer. Those who doubt, check the numbers that Fran Tarkenton put up in the NFL.

Lots of talk about the offensive line, this formation is a perfect setup for the "bigguns".

Texas Tech Red Raiders former Coach Mike Leach, showed the big boys how this works. Sent chills up UT, TA&M and the rest of the "Big Schools" backs with this offense and variations thereof.

Come to think of it . . . . he is currently unemployed. Just sayin' . . . .

Watched Crowell of Carver-Columbus work out of this formation this past Friday night. Guess the high school coaches are ahead of . . . . MB.

What is going on with CMR, he knows this offense really well. Don't hesitate too long CMR, we are all pulling for you, not against you. CTG will get this defense hitting on all cylinders, need some expertise on the offensive side.

Thanks to both of you guys for saying this. Just goes to show how much folks on this site understand football. Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater could learn a lot if he opened his ears and moved away from the keyboard.

Actually, if you go back to the game.......they FINALLY went to the shotgun formation in the fourth qtr with AM and we all saw how successful it was. AM played from the shotgun in a spread offense at Plant HS. He looked SO much more comfortable in the fourth qtr when they went to the shotgun. Didn't know if ya'll noticed that........NOW, why in the world didn't Bozo do that from the get go totally baffles me.
