For the first time in a very long time, I will use this board as a means of first hand information, rather than being one of the first hand thread creators....

It's all good, cuz we are all connected via a common bond, a brother and sisterhood unlike any other...........

There is a lot to be said for leadership. Hoping that the "project" turns out to be another blessing in your life.

That would first require extricating Sally's head from twixt his southern exposure!!!...New Broughton Hospital, we will begin demo in November and hopefully punching a serious hole in the ground next April. We are anticipating it will help stimulate the local economy for at least 3 years!!!..Keep your fingers crossed...Guess Mel will buy more fancy street markers and lamp posts!!

Passion is timeless, old or young when you speak about UGA and her football.

Living here in Athens you see and feel it every day. Standing in line at Walmart,pumping gas or picking up a 12 pack to watch our swooning Braves.

One of the best lines I have heard of late was without UGA that Athens would be just like Winder,GA (town just west of us on Hwy 316).

The flip side of that statement is that with UGA we are not like any other city in the country.

It is a hoot to visit other football blogs and read the trash that is written, has no meaning or merit just a rant and spew. Just like a business it is the employees who make the difference, those who take time to post here are true Dawg's.

Great post. I agree. Passion has no age limit. I am a younger head I guess you could say. I enjoy this board because of the many different opinions. I was not around for much of the time ERK was controlling the D. I wish I could have been, but that decision was not up to me. However, and please don't take this the wrong way, I have played football in high school and college, and also coached briefly at both levels, so I understand the game. I research the game. Just because us young heads were not around doesn't mean we don't know that in 135 of the 192 games, ERK's D held the opposing team under 17pts. Or that in 74 of those games the opposing team didn't even get to double digits. Now, I won't pretend to have watched every game he coached in, although I would if I could, but it doesn't take scientist to know what ERK stood for. I have even stolen a couple of his values when I was coaching.

Yes, I like learning and there is a lot about UGA football history that I have learned from the board. I love this board, but declaring credibility of a post based on someone's age, just doesn't make sense to me. Guys that have been around UGA longer might have loved the DAWGS longer, but it doesn't mean that there love for the DAWGS is any stronger.

Just voicing my opinion. Anyway fella's, we need this one bad. I have a good feeling about Sat and the rest of the year.
