I am willing to concede anything with "ice" in the name. I will also concede the kielbasa/big sausage title as long as they do no try to act like anybody north of kentucky knows a damned thing about BBQ.
9 BCS title game winners
Tennessee
FSU
Oklahoma
Miami
OSU
LSU
USC
Texas
Florida
3 SEC winners out of 9...
5 winners definitely from the South East out of 9
1 winner from north of Memphis tennessee
If you consider Texas/Okla as part of the south east (which I do not) then that makes 7 of 9.
This is not a trend. This is a genetic predispostion to whoop some buttocks in sports. The NCAA basketball ranking are just as skewed.
Hell...if we fought the civil war again we would all get some free land in minnesota I bet.

Oh yeah, when we win, they can keep the land in Minnesota.

I look great in a uniform according to the wife.
I would not mind a little piece of land in the mountains in SE Ohio.

I don't really consider Miami to be part of the south either. The South ends just north of Orlando. Then you start running into transplanted Yankees and then it turns into North Cuba when you hit Dade County. UF barely qualifies as a southern school. While Gainesville is still a southern city, most of the student body there is from South Florida, so the culture on that campus has more in common with UCLA than with the rest of the SEC schools.
