WE is still a fine back that will now have to grow up and make better choices.

The fact that CK is his best bud may prove helpful and provide him some help in getting focused on school and playing football. We need him to get straight and bring his "A" game.

Hope this is the last wake-up call that WE will need. No alcohol, figure he misses opening game. Young man has been on campus long enough to know that this was bone headed.

Any reports of alcohol being involved. I'm pretty sure WE was not taking his roomates car to be washed this time of night. Does anyone know how the depth chart will shape up with WE facing certain suspension.

Only backup I can see for CK that is worth mentioning is Carlton Thomas. Any other young pups stepped up and been impressive so far that could share some of the carries?

Ken Malcome- true freshman

He has power, and I think he’ll be a solid if not great back. However, he’s a freshman, and he’s got a lot to learn. As with most freshman running backs, his blocking needs to improve.

I was talking to someone this morning about how things were back in the 60's and 70' and why didnt't we get in all this trouble.

1. Alcohol was acceptable back then and DUIs only happened at wrecks or something like that.

2. I nor any of my freinds drank in excess. You were done when the buzz was over and went home to bed.

3. We didn't usually stay out after 12 midnight. Only people up to something bad were out at that hour. Besides the bars closed at midnight or so.

4. Rap music didn't exsist and if it did we wouldn't have listened to it anyway. (I still dont care for it) Swinging Medallions and soul music wewre popular.

5. The drugs were not on the scene. When pot showed up it was no big deal. Nobody would dare do LSD or stuff like that because the few that did fell out of ciirculation and ruined their lifes for the most part. When the chemicials like crack showed up, well, it went right along with rap music.

Does anyone else remember back then and why we didn't have all these arrest and stupid decision problems?

stevedawg, everything you stated is basically true....plus a couple of things.

1. We probably were more responsible back then than kids nowadays
2. The media is everywhere today making things seem worse than long ago....probably the same things happened then but went under the radar...i.e. no internet
3. Believe most kids back then were raised better.....actually had parents at home!!

NOW.......

4. TRUTH IS.....................we were smart enough to not get caught!!! ;)

Reading between the lines on this it appears the players are more scared of the coaches than they are of the popo.

With no booze involved, a light collision and witnesses telling Easley the police were on the way and his eagerness to go home that seems to indicate he was scared as heck for the coaches know he was out that late.

KD, I imagine WE is scared of the coaches, but he didn't want to stick around for the police either, and I'm guessing it's because of this--

from ajc.com:
Separately, Athens-Clarke County Municipal Court Clerk Rhonda Bolton told the AJC that the court issued a failure-to-appear warrant for Ealey on Aug. 12. Ealey was charged with speeding and tag violations on May 30, she said, and failed to appear for a scheduled court date on July 12. That failure to appear triggered a suspension of Ealey’s driver’s license, Bolton said.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!
