For what it is worth, think that CTG coming in, Belin, also known to raise his voice and Lakatos, figure the same for him.
There is just something about this group of (coaches/teachers) that I have not seen in Athens for a long time.
VanGorder and Erk were two pretty tough coaches. The results of their work showed in their players, game days then were special for the defensive minded at UGA.
After watching Coach Grantham during the spring and now . . . . definitely believes in facing the player or players and getting his point/points across. Reminds me a great deal of Coach Saban. Think that a lot of that is beginning to catch on with Coach Bobo, and . . . . Coach Richt.
Can understand the reasoning. These players are not with the team for 4 years anymore. They have to get it right now, and it appears our new hires understand this.
Back in the day we had the Bullpups, so much has changed on the learning curve.
Picked up on a quote from "Bean". He said that his biggest problem with the offensive side of the ball was . . . the playbook. He said that the other side of the ball comes a lot easier. I like it when a player stands tall and tells it like it is. "Bean" is going to have a super year I feel on the defensive side of the ball.
As mentioned, check the number of players that go to the NFL, UGA has done well. Saw a piece on television this past week and it was about what states most of the top ranked football players are from. Believe it went like this . . . Florida, Texas, California then Georgia. The next comment was made on the subject and the panel agreed that UGA would probably move to number three in the very near future. No small wonder that CTG and CMR believe that keeping the football talent in Georgia takes us up close or to the National Championship as wlayton mentioned. This group of coaches are not playing for second place and I like it.
Go Dawgs!
