Buc, I think that I might want Crowell more. I worry that Wilder is Richard Samuel. He might be better at LB, but he wants to play RB. Your thoughts?
With you on wanting Crowell in the backfield. Dare I say this . . . . from the film that I have watched of Crowell, comes as close to Walker as any back I have seen. Might cut better than HW did, appears that way to me. Saban and the rest of the world knows that he will play his freshman year. Noticed how Saban got Richardson into the games last year, playing behind the Heisman Trophy winner. Coach Saban would probably use Crowell the same way he is using Richardson.
If Crowell signs with UGA, we can bet the farm that Coach Richt will not make the same mistake made with KM.
Wilder runs more upright, which can cause a lot of irritating injuries at the college level for sure. He is a bull, has speed and can catch. I would love to see him under the tutelage of CTG. OLB, definitely going to the pros and that also would pretty much insure a longer and more lucrative career. Just my opinion again, would rather see him on the defensive side.
wlayton, comparison to Richard Samuel is a very good one. That is not knocking either one, both have tremendous God given abilities. Just feel that their talent fits the defensive side better. Sometimes good coach speak can change minds.
