Living in the Central Florida area, have mentioned more than once that I keep an eye on many of the top players and schools that move on to college football. Believe me, there are a lot of quality young men in this area.
When we were in the "mix" for Orson Charles, most folks in state and out of the area had him solidly in the clutches of UF. Reasonable thoughts and comments, UF was having unprecidented success, and UM was riding high.
I mentioned the fact that Coach Tony Dungy was a close friend with Coach Richt, would not personally rule out OC casting his ballot with UGA. Well . . . . again I have this feeling that some how, some way, Coach Dungy and Coach Richt have joined forces again. Just feel it.
James Wilder, Jr. is truly a great athlete. Works hard, not a loafer, as witnessed by his recent 7 on 7 participation in Oregon. Do not be surprised if JWJ ends up wearing the Red and Black. Would not surprise me at all. Plays both sides of the ball with great skill, however my opinion is that he should be playing linebacker in the 3/4. JWJ is an animal when he puts the cleats on and does amazing things on the gridiron. He has two of his friends wearing our colors now, AM and OC. Never doubt that Coach Dungy had a hand in those two, especially OC.
If UGA had Wilder and Ogletree at outside linebacker, UGA in my opinion would be almost impossible to either run or pass on. Understand that Ogletree says he prefers Safety, that is his choice at this point. Just feel a short time down the road he will be a linebacker.
Again, will cross my fingers on JWJ. JWJ on defense and a certain running back from Columbus would really be incredible pickups for our beloved school.
Go Dawgs. . . . .
