I think we've had excellent candidates at QB. wlayton, you are correct. Buc, I've also thought about what you've said, but I think the problem is that you can only PLAY one QB at a time (DJ and DG being the exceptions) for an entire game, whereas all other positions get rotated, or you can start more than one guy at those other positions. \"Starter\" doesn't have to mean much at practically any position (in terms of raw playing time), except at QB (maybe center? snapper?). That's because you need consistency and experience there more than at other positions.
I feel sorry for Logan, since he was clearly a hot commodity in high school, but he's not gotten much playing time because there was always someone ahead of him who - let's face it - was just BETTER.
I can sympathize with the guy. He's an excellent athlete who wants to PLAY. He even returns punts, which is one of those \"trench\" type jobs. He just wants to get on the darned field, and now a FRESHMAN could (conceivably) keep him from getting to do what he's probably enjoyed doing since he was old enough to put on pads. But we can only put one QB in at a time . . . so he picked a position where that comes with the territory. Honestly, I don't know how ANY team develops depth at that position. (And before anyone says it, yes . . . some do . . . but like wlayton says . . . so does CMR.)
