Interesting posts. Know that wlayton has said wait until 2011. Patience is a virtue. :woohoo:

Actually I have no patience Buc. If we can somehow get through USC, Ark and MSU with 2 wins and one loss, I believe we CAN win the East.....but that's it. We won't beat Bama in Atlanta. Early on in the season is the key for the year.....got to go through those first 4 games 3-1.....SOMEHOW, then believe we could get on a roll to get to Atlanta.

I stated a couple of months ago that we could win it all in 2011.....and continued dominance like FSU in the 90's.

Agree, hoping that Coach Richt stays close to the QB's. Lived in the state and watched CMR work some magic with FSU during that time period.

Quite frankly wlayton, think that the offense and defense are going to grow up together in the next couple of years. That ain't a bad thingy in my book. :woohoo:

Thanks for the replies! RabunDog, I like your reasoning, even if we don't completely agree. Honestly, I don't think we'll go undefeated either. Few teams pull that off. And only one Georgia team in my life has done it (my freshman year - the same year as another [34] freshman you may recall). However, I do think if we could just make it through the T game, we could be quite the talk towards the end of the year.

Also, I think this schedule (other than too many aways early, and NO REST until just before Tech) is one that can be handled. Anyway, I will post the line scores and stats for the games as we go along. It'll be some fun to talk (and probably LAUGH) about.

(I hate the off season. Not as much as teams with orange in their colors, but I do hate it. And RabunDog, I agree with you. I hate Florida more than any other team out there. When they play Tennessee, I usually cheer for the stadium to collapse. :S I couldn't pull for Florida if they had two engines out on their team jet. Okay, maybe that's over the line, but I just can't stand those orange teams. I agree - give me one game to win, and there is NO CONTEST on that one. I want a win over the lizards too. I would pay any coach in America if he would run up the score on them, and then throw a \"flea-flicker\" on them with the score already 84-0, on the last play of the game. Somehow I don't think that will be CMR . . . too much class. Maybe Kiffin, if the two teams ever play . . . I'll be a Trojan for about 4 hours.)

Thanks Buc

As always - you have great artilces to post - I'm hopeing we're headed that way also

Hey thriller - yes you went over the line - maybe - however I LOVE the 84-0 and the flea flicker on the last play to run the score over 90

I pull for all SEC teams when they are playing non SEC teams - however there are some SEC teams that I do not like as much as others and pull for them to get beat by ANY other SEC team - the ones I like the least do tend to have that orange color - lizzards are at the top of that list

I realize that we might not have any better won/loss record than last year - this will be a learning year for the O and D - more learning on the D - but you just never know till they play the games

Thanks for the great article, Buc. The Stinchcombs were TRUE DAWGS and will always represent some of the best traits of the BullDawg Nation.

By the way, you are also correct about patience. I am probably one of the most patient Dawgs around. I'm still waiting for the day we get to pay some teams back for what has happened in the past. We owe Nebraska a tail kickin'. Pittsburgh has one comin' too. Penn State too. I'm patiently waiting for those. Have been, in the case of Nebraska, for (I think) 39 years.

I'll be patient through this season. I'm not one of those who is going to call for CMRs job at the end of the season. Truth be told, I think we may easily go 8-5, or 7-6, or (I hate to admit it), maybe even 5-7 this season. RabunDog is right - SC, ARK, and MSU are all lose-able games. So are TN, FLA, AU, and GT. And wlayton is very astute in pointing out that 2011 will tell the tale.

But I still stand behind my predictions! :silly:
