Now that the G-Day game is complete, I think I'll indulge in some highly premature FUN.
Here are my game by game predictions for this fall!
1. Louisiana-Lafayette - you gotta be kidding me. I know they beat Kansas State at home last year, but please . . . UGA 45, LA LA 21. (Yes, I think they'll get 21 points against us for a few reasons - a. we are still adjusting to a new D for this game, b. there will be plenty of fresh faces on our D side of the ball by the 3rd quarter, and c. we always give up cheap scores late in blowouts, like this one will be.) Our ranking - unranked.
2. at South Carolina - forget last year. We're in Columbia. Weird stuff happens there with this game. Last year we had a shoot out, this year I think we'll have a gut-it-out. UGA guts it out. We also like to have weird scores against the 'Cocks. UGA 18, USC 11. Our ranking - 24.
3. Arkansas - another \"last year\" shoot out that I think will be more of a \"grind it out\" this year. Georgia grinds it out better. UGA 24, Ark 17. GO D! Our ranking - 22.
4. at Miss. St. - I fear this game - not. It'll be closer than it should be, and low scoring. VERY low scoring. UGA 10, Miss. St. 3. Keep going D! Our ranking - 17.
5. at Colorado - man, this is a LOT of away! I don't think this team stinks as bad as it appears they stunk last year. Let's not get too cocky here. However, they DID go 3-9 last season. Strangely, they kept it close to some good teams and even beat Kansas. BIG however here. By this game, our D will have it's legs under it, and our O will have a QB with confidence (and judgement) on the rise. UGA 27, Herd 13. Our ranking - 12.
6. Tennessee - now we get serious. What do you make of T last year? They almost beat some pretty good teams. And did beat some pretty good teams. However, they've lost a lot since last year. Dooley will definitely help them (if they are patient enough up there), but not this year. It's in Athens, and we will have our REVENGE! Oh how I HATE Tennessee - and any team that has orange as one of their colors! We could lose this game, but, UGA 19, UT 14. Our ranking - 9.
7. Vanderbilt - oh no. Not them. Every so often, we \"play\" this team with disastrous results. This year, we need to quit thinking of the following games and keep our mind on business. We'll do just that. UGA 31, Vandy 17. Our ranking - 8.
8. at Kentucky - oh baby. Sit back an enjoy a huge dose of MAJOR REVENGE. How in the world did we lose this game last year? It really doesn't matter. UGA 42, UK 10. Yes, that's my prediction. And it's April 14th. Our ranking - 8. You don't get many brownie points for beating Vandy and Kentucky.
and now, for the REAL game. After having played 8 games, with how many weeks off? NONE! And do we get a break before this one? Of course not. That would be too \"fair\", especially when we are playing on a \"neutral field\" . . .
9. at Florida - UGA 34, UF 28. Talk amongst yourselves. Our ranking - 4.
10. Idaho State - with all due respect to Mike Huguenin, I will NOT apologize for this game. It represents our only \"week off\" of the entire season, and we're taking it, darn it! UGA 49 (or however many points CMR is willing to allow), Idaho State 2. We run the ball out of the end zone at the end of the game, on purpose.

Our ranking - 4.
11. at Auburn - do you think they have enough home games down on the plains? I sure hope we don't give out of gas by this game, and that could happen. It won't. UGA 28, Tigles 17. Our rank - 3.
12. welcome back to Athens, GT. We put it in your face last year, and it'll happen again this year. UGA 21, GT 7. Our rank - 3.
13. conference championship - UGA 24, Bama 21. One foot will make the difference. Our rank - 3.
14. Sugar Bowl. Yes, Sugar Bowl. That's because no matter what we prove during the year, there will probably be two undefeated teams ahead of us, and we won't get no respect. Therefore, we will play someone like Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl, while Southern Cal plays Ohio State for the \"national championship\", which doesn't exist because there is no playoff. UGA 24, VT 20. Our rank - 2.
So there it is. My VERY premature prediction of our undefeated \"Auburn-esque\" non-national-championship-season. I hope this has entertained you for a few off-season minutes.
