Many years of my life spent in publishing, advertising and marketing. Sherz made a statement like that in a meeting I was conducting, he/she would never draw another paycheck.

Last time I checked, University of Georgia was doing quite well at the box office.

Guarantee here is that Adams will come back and deny all of this, he is good at back tracking or maybe I should say \"back stabbing\".

Right Buc.....she's a marketing idiot. UGA HAS been, IS and will always BE one of the top 3 marketing magnets in college sports history. Just about everybody on the planet has heard of Mohammed Ali, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and UGA.

I just can't even imagine this happening - UGA is the most recognized mascot in college football and is an asset to the university and contributes to the over $40 million dollars they make off of football every year

If Adams is STUPID enough to do that.....there would be a lynch mob after him! And I can say that I would be right in the middle of it! What Adams needs to realize is that UGA is NOT about him, UGA IS ABOUT TRADITION! And UGA is at the TOP of out tradition food chain.

fire_dawg, I was away from the computer for a while, came back with the thought in my head about April 1. Went back and checked David Hale's site just to be sure that this was not a joke. Nothing has changed on his site about this.

If this turns out to be a joke . . . . the joke is not on us, it will be on someone that could jepordize a rising sports journalism career. Cannot believe that David would joke in this manner.

So now Adams is going to stop tailgating, wonder how much that will affect fund raising at UGA. Tailgating not being enough, trying to cap that with a 10th Street, PETA intrusion into OUR AFFAIRS. Adams is a sick PUPPY, but not of the UGA type.
