No matter what the excuse, I can not see this being good for the Dawg fans. Tradition outranks many things in college football.

Adams should have gone in a different direction to solve the problem (it IS a problem, will admit that).

Uh.....how about increasing maintenance, maybe????

So Adams thinks the thing to do is basically shut this part of UGA football support down. The folks doing this littering/trashing are not Dawgs, sorry, more like pigs. Shoe fits, wear it.

Question for you folks, surely someone has an answer . . . Are any of the other colleges in the SEC having the same problem? If so, are they handling the problem differently than Adams is handling the UGA situation? It does make me feel ashamed for photos like the ones posted on the internet, showing the stupidity of some folks that like to call themselves \"fans\".

The players get tickets for riding motor scooters (not licensed) and pay the price for their mistakes. Is it so hard to \"ticket\" the pigs? They also need to \"pay the price\" for wallowing in the mud, sort of. I agree with averagedawg . . . Adams is walking a thin line.

This is BS, it comes from an idiot at the top and from the pigs at the bottom. This could and should be handled differently, don't like folks waving a wand and it becomes law. We are seeing enough of that in other places . . . won't go there.

Amen Buc, To many Dictators in this country now. Seems to me they are wearing out there welcome fast!! I dont guess he had to face this problem at pepperdine ,so he just decides not to spend any time on a plan on how to deal with it and fix it but just punish all of us. And like you said real dawgs do not trash UGA we respect it and love it!! I cant believe he is this disconnected with the fans and alum that cherish our saturdays in athens. To me this is a huge slap in our faces!! He should have his feet held to the fire in this situation and do the right thing instead of this BS!!!
I for one am tired of his arrogance. He is no Dawg, Anyone who bleeds Red and Black would never do this to the Bulldawg nation, our tailgates are tradition just like our Dawgs and no one man should have the power to instead of looking for ah real solution wave his wand and punish all of us who do really care for UGA and all that it means to us.

Once A DAWG Always A DAWG

When I was a student, it seemed the University tried to suck every dollar they could out of you. I mean, how many fees do you need to attend class?
Anyhooo, why not piggyback on this by charging people a reasonable fee that covers clean up costs AND kicks in a few bucks to the school? Oh, and ticket the losers who don't know what a trash can is (probably Tech fans who showed up to see what a real football team looks like)

Below is a site that is worth looking at. Tells the story about many of the things that we are discussing here. Take a few minutes and really check out the statistics.

Adams might want to take a look, sometimes your actions come back to bite you in the bottom. Dispose of your PhD head at this point and realize why you get paid the amount of salary that you do. Not too hard to figure that College Football pays for every thing on campus. Maybe college presidents should also have to face mid-term elections. Just a thought. ;)

Once upon a time we had a DC that would not listen, took a while, but the end result was that he got shipped out and the fans and Alumni lived happily ever after. . . .

It doesn't make sense. Tailgating at the regular spot for 50 years IS a big deal. I have a video that was uploaded last year that showed an 80 year old alum that had the same tailgate spot for about 50 years.

Get rid of the drunks, charge a fee to clean up or anything.

But don't mess with Georgia Bulldog football tradition.
