Just read the post......seems like a great and grounded kid.

I'm just afraid he may go to Auburn.

Hoping for the best.

Would hate to see Whitaker wearing orange, something about the color, looks like a faded RED.

Another thing that gets to me is athletes like Whitaker or whom ever leaving our state to go to Auburn, Florida and Alabama. This is what happens when the Captain goes to sleep at the wheel. Knew there were going to be several folks headed elsewhere with the decaying of the UGA defensive program under a coach that liked to teach his backs to watch a receivers \"eyes\" when covering.

I believe that Coach Grantham and his crew will change this, and change it quickly. Really glad to see Coach Grantham in Macon making UGA's pitch for Whitaker. Also like the comments that Whitaker made concerning Coach Grantham, this young man is a credit to the game. Win or lose. Others could learn much from Whitaker. Crossed fingers . . . . .

We cannot afford to lose athletes like Jeff Whitaker to surrounding states.

Read a quote today that caught my attention . . . .

You can't spell GRANTHAM without GATA . . . :woohoo:

Have not felt this confident about our Defensive Dawgs in many years. C'mon Jeff . . . . Learn your trade here, then move on to the NFL without a doubt, Coach Grantham KNOWS HOW . . . .

Buc, love the David Hale piece. I just feel we will get at least one of the DT's we are looking at.

I guess I would prefer JW over MT since he is more suited to the NT.

Still think we get Da'Rick Rogers.

wlayton, good views on the DE, QB. May I add one position that gets overlooked? OC-the QB of the OL and the guy responsible for moving the NT in a 3-4 or the MLB in a 4-3. I think we have a really good one in Jones-maybe an All American type.

Yeah, I think Jones is a good one heading to be a great one. He definitely has a mean streak in him.....just what you need at center (along with brains to call assignments).

The 4 main positions I mentioned is stated in the NFL as the first 4 most critical areas to build a team around.

There is also another Jones . . . on the defensive side of the ball, Abry Jones. Lots of talk about this young man, know that RG is really up on Abry. Little playing time and this defense has serious possibilities. C'mon JW.

P.S. Read an article stating that Willie Martinez has been hired as the DB coach at Stanford. This will be one to watch.

P.S.S. Four-star outside linebacker Deon Rogers (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast) has decommitted from Georgia in favor of Louisville, ESPN's Billy Tucker reports.

Rogers also considered Florida State, LSU and Ohio State. Duke, Purdue and Buffalo were among his other offers.

He is the fourth four-star commitment for Louisville, all coming from the Sunshine State.
