Thanks for the great responses here, except yours Kentdaddy

First of all, I think the West will be a better division top to bottom.
After consideration of the schedules, returning talent, in-coming talent and coaching, I predict the regular season order of finish as follows:

West
1. Alabama @ 10-2(A tough schedule and they get SIX SEC teams coming off their bye weeks)
2. Auburn @ 10-2 (The Offense will be SICK this year. With Cam Newton becoming the Tim Tebow of 2010. With/if a decent defense, they will push ‘Bama for N0. 1)
3. Arkansas @ 9-3 (same comments as for Auburn)
4. LSU @ 9-3 (should be better than last year but could easily be 8-4 with poor coaching)
5. Ole Miss @ 7-5 (Rebuilding year but they will be back in 2011)
6. MSU @ 7-5 (Give Coach Mullen another year or two)

East
1. Florida @ 9-3 (A virtual tie with UGA but I’m picking my Gators due to better talent only)
2. Georgia @ 9-3 (Same record as the Gators so the outcome of the game in Jacksonville will decide the SEC C.G. representative)
3. South Carolina @ 8-4 (Should be better than last year but a tough schedule)
4. Tennessee @ 6-6 (the wins total could be one more or one less)
5. Kentucky @ 6-6 (Tie with UT but lose to them at the end of the season)
6. Vanderbilt @ 4-8 (Not enough talent)

I also see six teams in the SEC having 10 win seasons this year since we’ll win all of our bowl games
BTW, I think both Florida and Georgia are one year away from being top 5 teams. 2011 will be crazy in the SEC East.

Forida better talent? Where?

O-line? no
Running backs? no
Wide receivers? no
Tight ends? no
Quarterbacks? Maybe

D-Line? Hard to tell until after the draft and the field sobriety tests are finished.
Linebackers? No way. Samuel is going to be the Colonel Jessup of linebackers. We want him on that wall. We need him on that wall.
Conerbacks? Maybe.

Special teams? No way. Boykin is for eal and New Butler icks like Chuck Norris when he was young and before he went crazy.

Coaching? Depends on who the Gator coach will be.

IMO:
O-line? Slight edge to UGA
Running backs? Apples & Oranges. Draw. UF rushes for more yards (and averages) than UGA year in and year out.
Wide receivers? Overall edge to UF but yes, AJ is the best of the lot.
Tight ends? Time will tell. We have awsome talent waiting here behind Aaron Hernandez
Quarterbacks? Slight edge to UF based upon experience. I believe Brantley will be graet for the Gators.

As for defense, it's not even close. UF's entire defense is more talented at every possition (ok maybe I'll give you one LB slot)

Special teams? UGA

In 2009, (except for the kickers) only two of UGA's players would have been starters for the Gators. For 2010, I'll up that to maybe 6 or 7 with most of them playing offense.

Hmmmm....ok, can see most points but certainly can't see where UF is better at WR......that's your weakness. You think your WR's are better as a whole than Green, Charles (used some as a WR), Troup, M. Brown, Wooten and T. King? May want to re-think that one.

kentdaddy, think you are totally on target with your statement below. Grantham is going to love this guy, and my bet is he moves to the defensive side. Going to be one of those 6'2\" 230 backers that is going to end up being schemed by every team we play after a game or two. Incredible speed.
