We got what we deserved

I agree we got what we deserved, I am proud of CMR that he pulled the trigger this fast on CWM and the rest. I thought he would wait until after the bowl game though, Anyway UGA beating Tech was my bowl game for me, the best way this team could have ended this nightmare season, and now I look forward to our DC replacement whom ever it will be. Any one hear rumors yet of who is comin here?

They are all second tier bowl games.

I agree with Dapolla...we are way better than Independence bowl status. I am just glad I get to see my boys play one more time before this exhausting wait til next year. I know CMR made a really tough decision in his mind but to all of us it was th easiest one he could have made, but it is hard to put personal feelings aside when they are as tight knit as they were. i am proud of our coach.

not sure it has to do with who deserves what, but more with who will bring the fans. we have great fan support, but I could see the comments now - \"they're used to big bowls/their fans are unhappy/our bowl will be a letdown/etc.\" and figured some other teams who will be excited to be in any bowl will bring more support. unfortunately not always about who deserves it - but about $$.
just my humble opinion. and well done to CMR for making the tough choices - i have no dislike for our defensive staff, just think they weren't getting the job done. best of luck to them in the future. now i hope bobo proves my 2 years of ranting about him were wrong.

They may all be 2nd tier bowl games but I bet the Outback and Chic Fil A bowl payouts are at least double the Independence Bowl's payout.
